Chicago Forum - Updated pg 1

HERE IS THE OFFICIAL UPDATE:

1. Forum consisted of 10 viewers in Chicagoland area. There 3 reps from Star Plus. Rajan Singh was one of them. In fact he just flew in from London about an hour before forum started. We were there for about 2.5 hrs

2. Rajan started the conservation with Iss Pyaar. He joked "is anyone here to protest?"

3. He was very open about discussing the show and everyone's concerns. We did cover a ton of other issues. We discussed other shows as well.

4. He stated Barun wanted to leave for a very long time & it was his plan to leave. They tried to retain him but obviously couldn't.

5. The show was not supposed to end, Arnav was supposed to be killed off. But due to viewer demand they had to take the decision of canceling the show.

6. Barun last shot on Nov 23rd, he was done. Because they didn't have him anymore they closed the show within 4 days. He stayed back in UK after SPL ended.

7. Rajan has a very good relationship with Barun. No blacklisting at all. Rajan is very aware of Barun & Sanya's demand. He gets about 500 messages a day.

8. Season 2 in my opinion doesn't look possible. Right now Barun just started his break and will remain on it for 6-8 weeks. Don't know what his plans are. Rajan kinda hinted that Barun wants to try movies.

9. He was not happy with the disclaimer either and had it pulled off in the international market.

10. He completely agreed that this was handled poorly.

11. He was very worried about SPL in UK. They were expecting a lot of protesters.

12. Rajan was very down to earth person. Very much trying to reach out to viewers.

13. Rajan wants to bring Barun& Sanya to the US inJan/Feb for a show.

14. You have to understand the show has only been off air for 1 week. And Barun has been on break for less then 2 weeks. If something new is going to happen its going to take a lot of time.

15. Forum meets again in 6 months.
