I am analysing Vikram and Rewa's marriage from the insights available in the show till date.

Vikram and Rewa had an arranged marriage. Rewa was jiji's choice for her brother. Rewa is a well educated lady besides being a good painter. However, Vikram is highly disillusioned with Rewa.

There seems to be irreconcilable differences in between him and Rewa because of which he does not want to give her another chance but more so after Sugni has entered his life.

Rewa knows that all love is lost between him and her but she tried her level best to make a place in his heart. She even got pregnant in the hope of salving the marriage but she lost the kid. She even feared that Vikram might try divorcing her and marrying another woman so she tried faking mental illness in order to gain sympathy of her husband and the other family members. Later she met with an accident and her body was not found or some other corpse was taken in as Rewa ( creatives need to clarify ) and it was declared that Rewa is dead.

My question to creatives is why Vikram is indifferent to Rewa. What had transpired between them in the past? I tried to figure out some reasons on my own --

They were mentally incompatible right from the beginning. If Vikram meant "east" Rewa thought "west". Vikram could not connect with her but still dragged the marriage.
Rewa was insensitive towards Vikram as a wife. All that she cared was honour and authority she got as a result of marrying him.
Rewa comes to know that Vikram is a difficult and a different person. He has high expectations from her as a wife. He has set high standards for her.No matter hard she tried she failed to touch his heart and impress him.
Things seemed improving between them when Rewa got pregnant but she suffered a miscarriage. Vikram thought that it happened by Rewa's mistake whereas Rewa did not do it purposely. This event fully turned Vikram against her.
Rewa had an extra marital relationship 😆 . Only Vikram knew about it but maintained a facade of happy marriage to the outside world for the sake of family honour.

The creatives have further showed Rewa plotting to eliminate Vikram. Though I donot justify this lowly act of hers but it conveyed that she has fully given up on her husband and is highly frustrated. She knows that even after setting Vikram free to do anything with Sugni, he would definitely marry the bedini which would jeopardise her rights as a wife so better finish Vikram.

I would like the creatives to take an effort to explain Vikram Rewa past because not only it would bring out the true character of Vikram and Rewa but would go in explaining Vikram's craziness for Sugni and Rewa's determination to keep this marriage.

It would be lovely if other forum members too give their views in this context.

SK - You are asking the impossible out of these writers. 😉 They are better off hiring someone from this forum to come up with an imaginative and plausible response.

From what I can recall and please correct me if I am wrong.

The CVs first said that Reva was mental from childhood and Vikram did not find out until after he married her. Later it was revealed that she became mental at a later point in her life.

In the early stages of SugVi relationship, Amrita had told Sugni that Reva was only beautiful on the OUTSIDE meaning that she was not a nice person.

When Vikram confessed to Jiji that he was in love with Sugni, Jiji offered him to find a thaurain to remarry. But his comments was to the effect "You married me to Reva and look how unhappy that marriage was."

When the Reva Mansion track started, Dhanumaa told Gulaibya that she would not wish Reva upon her worst enemy.

When Vikram and Reva finally came face to face and she was having her mental moments, we all saw how he took care of her and calmed her down. He was very caring and supportive.

Finally we heard from Reva's own mouth that she had FAKED her mental illness and that she deliberately allowed Vikram to believe that she was dead. She CHOSE to come back ONLY when Niranjan told her that Vikram was going to remarry.

In my opinion, they had an unhappy marriage. Maybe it was her personality or she wanted to control him which she couldn't. At this point we can only guess. He held on and honoured his marriage vows to her.

At the point when he fell in love with Sugni, he was a widower. It is not his fault that Reva chose to hide the fact that she was alive. The Cvs alone know what this would have accomplished.

We saw that Vikram was trying to help her when he went to see a doctor about her treatment. It was only when the doctor him that she was not ill that he realised the truth.

The only thing I would add to Julie's comments is that you seem to have sequence of events slightly wrong.

TVS and Reva were married for 8 years. She was pregnant when they (TVS Reva) met with an accident. In that accident TVS was knocked unconcious and Reva was thought to have died and parished along with the Jeep. She lost the baby in that accident. When Reva first comes back he even tells her that I looked for you for several months after the accident but did not find you and finally had to accept that you were gone.

The key point is when he met and fell in love with Sugni and indeed until he announced that he intended to marry Sugni in front of all the Thakur's at Adi Amu engagement he and his family believed him to be a widower.

In fact several times he has said had he even the slightest idea that Reva was alive he would have never have looked at Sugni. But by the time Reva came back it was too late to turn back the clock on him and Sugni.

It seems as though the CV's want to erase all of that and will not show any of that because that will not serve their purpose of makinf TVS the bad guy.
The writers themselves are mixed up about Reva's character ...the only sure thing we got from it was
1. They were not a happy couple
2. She was presumed dead, even his sister was willing to find him wife #2
3. She is a manipulative woman, who is shown to have little to no emotion where her husband is concerned.

The story changes from episode to episode...

When Reva and her brother were talking and she was trying to explain what happened to her after the accident, we got the following:

*She lost her memory following the accident

*When she regained it, she made her way to Reva Manzil

*She learned from her brother that he (TVS) was going to remarry hence the reason she showed up at the house (we never understood how she made past the armed guards)

*Upon her brother's advise she pretended to be insane which makes no sense since she was already acting this way at the start of the marriage😕

- I'd like to know if the doctors did a CT scan to determine if she had a mental illness and if not, then how did they determine it? If that is the case, why does TVS simply confront her. Finally, is it necessary to have grounds for divorce in India? Can't you just buy one like most rich people do and use "irreconsible differences" as they do in the rest of the world?
