what does being loyal to the show mean? does it mean watching whatever BS they show you without complaining... if we can complement the good in the show, we should be able to call them out on the bad

very aptly titled shobs and as usual very well written analysis

i trust Gaurav when he said he signed up the show because of the different story and wish the PH had dared to show their original storyline, i think DSDV had stuck to its original storyline and hence had the short run, BHBK lost me in the huge jump they made to try and save the story and it seemed to have happened very early in the show...

Gaurav mentioned in the last interview that it was supposed to be a triangle with Benaf but she disappeared before the rajni wedding... not sure what the point of showing rajni's mahanta tracks was... they took too long to find a story to tell

i still love Gaurav as the lover boy, love when he falls in love... but hope there is a stronger storyline to back it up, cant wait for him to come back with a new show

Exactly Fatima...why should we watch any crap that is dished out by the makers? Being a fan is one thing but supporting a show which has no legs to stand on, is foolishness! The more we watch such shows, the more we will be given such BS to watch! 🤢 I loved the beginning and we did have our bit of fun and discussions, but unfortunately that lasted for too short a time!

As to your second post, it is not that I don't love GK as a romantic hero...I do and romance is something he does so well on screen! But there are different levels for romance too...and I want him to graduate to the next level, and not remain the "chocolate boy" who serenades his lady and is the perfect lover! There can be romance in a gray character's life as well, is it not so? 😉 😆

I agree Shobs, even I'd love to see Gaurav move up a level on the romantic roles...he says he is comfortable doing the lovey-dovey roles but some romantic roles do offer a range of emotions to potray and I'll be the happiest if he gets one such role, coz I know he's do complete justice to it...

btw, I edited my reserve :)

Shobha, what I meant by better production values was that Hats Off seemed to have allocated more resources to enhance the visual appeal of the show ...eg scale of the sets, set design and other attention to detail, in comparison to what the other PH did for DSDV.
There was something else I forgot to mention in my earlier post. I loved Prateeksha Lonker's acting. Her facial expressions are beautiful and from whatever litttle I understand about acting I think her voice modulation and speech delivery is superb. I remember this lovely scene she had with Benaf after she disapproves of Paulomi and Krish pillowfighting. Considering what a fine actress she is, she must have had a very important role in the original story.

@Sumivo: Thanks for clarifying! But you know I really liked DSDV a lot...that story had the best potential for becoming a classic if handled well among all the shows Gaurav has acted in so far. They made their mistake when they made Prem come out in support of Nandini within a day of her past being revealed and then the charm dwindled gradually. But I loved the sets on that one too and they retained the Marathi flavor until the end, premature though it was...but in BHBK, there was nothing gujju about it after the intial month or so!

Hina, yes, I want to see him at the next level of romance. In one of the other shows I watch, I have seen it and I want GK to get his chance at doing something like that...😳
