JAB TAK HAI JAAN Crosses 200 Cr Worldwide Gross Collections

"Jab Tak Hai Jaan" collected decent numbers in 2nd weekend and in due process film crossed 200 cr gross on Saturday. Film is now heading for 80 cr lifetime collections in overseas and few more records will be shattered.

JAB TAK HAI JAAN Crosses 200 Cr Gross Worldwide

Film collected 11 cr nett over 2nd weekend with healthy jump on 2nd Sunday as per early estimates. Film collected best numbers from multiplexes and that too from high end ones. Film was affected by super collections of "Life Of Pi" but the effect was limited.

Film should finish week 2 around 18 cr nett and total of 116-117 c nett. Lifetime collections should settle around 120-123 cr nett depending on how film performs today and how much it can add in 3rd and 4th weeks.

Jab Tak Hai Jaan Second Weekend Collection 9.48 cr nett. Analysis

Jab Tak Hai Jaan has collected around 9.48 crore nett all India in its Second Weekend at thebox office. JTHJ registered a jump of 4% on 2nd Saturday from 2nd Friday and further jump of 35% on 2nd Sunday from 2nd Saturday. JTHJ 13 day collection now stands at 107.31 crore nett.

JTHJ has crossed 100 crore nett mark on Second Friday and thus become 16th bollywood film ever and 7th in 2012. JTHJ in its second weekend showed limited jump. JTHJ has another 4 days left for collecting good as on 30th Talaash is releasing and its screen will be hugely reduced and collections will be badly affected after that. JTHJ was expected to cross 100 crore nett mark easily, but honestly it is expected that it should collect many more than 100 crore mark. But JTHJ is struggling now and let's see how much it can make inroads into the biggest grossers of all time in coming days. JTHJ has already a HIT because of its controlled budget. Only whether it can attain Super Hit or Blockbuster status that is awaited. JTHJ needs 120 crore nett mark to reach Clean Super HIT status.

First Week (7 days) - 85.78 cr nett.

First Ten days - 97.83 cr nett.

2nd Fri - 2.75 cr nett.
2nd Sat - 2.86 cr nett.

Jab Tak Hai Jaan grossed 9.50 crore nett over its second weekend. Due to the extended first week the film did not show the second weekend Saturday and Sunday growth like some of the other big films of the year. The film has held up better in the bigger cities and the total for the film after its second weekend is 92 crore nett approx.

The film has turned the tables on Son Of Sardaar in East Punjab as it had lower collections in the first ten days but managed better collections in the next three days although by just a couple of lakhs.

The collections have come off heavily in places like West Bengal, Nizam and Mysore where it opened to very strong collections.

Jab Tak Hai Jaan Adds 11 Crores in its 2nd Weekend, Grabs No. 6 on Koimoi Top 10 2012 Box Office

After enjoying an extended weekend post Diwali release, Jab Tak Hai Jaan however did not show any jump on its 2nd weekend at the domestic box office. The movie made 2.75 Crores on its 2nd Friday, 3.65 Croreson Saturday and 4.65 Crores on Sunday. With making a business of about 11.05 Crores in its 2nd weekend, JTHJ now stands at a domestic total of 109.05 Crores.

The movie which has entered the 100 Crore Club has now beaten Bol Bachchan with 102 Crores to capture the 6th position on the Koimoi India Box Office Top 10 2012.

Next in line is Housefull 2 which, with 114 Crores, is on No. 5 in this chart. However, it won't be difficult forJTHJ to beat the same by the end of this week.

Jab Tak Hai Jaan is a blockbuster overseas and has become the fourth highest grossing film ever in 13 days by grossing $11 million approx. It has crossed the business of films like Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, Ek Tha Tiger and Om Shanti Om which were all in the $10-10.75 million range with only Three Idiots, My Name Is Khan and Don 2 ahead of it. Don 2 at around $11.75 million should be beaten but the other two are in excess of $20 million as released in many more markets. BLOCKBUSTER
