I've read some of the post and comments by Rima and this petition issue which is being blamed by some and here is my POV on it. What's done is done and looks like nothing can changed the outcome now, but this is just my opinion on why some feel that the method behind the petitioning and protesting wasn't the best way to go about things. We could have collectively worked together to save the show rather than calling for it to end which was the wrong impression that the fans gave to SP hence why they feel like they've just answered the fan's wishes.
Also the sentiments of 1838 or lets round it up to 2000 maybe 2500 is not fair nor reflective of the many thousand viewers in India, UK, Pakistan, US and other places where IPKKND was aired or available. Many of these fans aren't youngsters or net savvy to be partaking in an alternative campaign to save a show or to fight for the remaining cast of the show.
We also loved the show, we loved BS and SI equally, some of us didn't favour any one over the other but rather enjoyed the show because of both of them and the rest of the cast. Some of us were happy with the way the story was going and wanted to see more and some were happy and open to the idea of what the future would hold if and when BS left or decided to return.
Maybe this was all a master plan who knows but no popular show that I know of has suddenly ended within a week without so much as prior notice.
I actually think Sanaya's comments and interview was said more in retrospect, in that maybe this was decided and the idea had been thrown out there by the PH that the plug might be pulled unless BS was retained because of the pressure that SP were putting onto the PH. It's probably why she brought up the comments that IPKKND isn't based around BS and that the show affects 200+ people. Her defensive tone now seems to make a lot more sense because it was probably at the time when ultimatums might have been issued and outcomes revealed.
Many fans said they weren't happy with the storyline since April or after Holi? But why? what was wrong with it, there were still great moments, great acting and furthermore the love story of ArShi was unravelling.
Barun wanted to leave in Feb apparently, so what then, would fans have demanded an end then also? I'm pretty sure that was during the time of the MU track and then also had he left before his film shoot began we wouldn't have had Shyam's revelation come out. It would all have been rushed.
The vibe I got from this forum when I joined earlier in the year for this show was that there were still many fans who were unhappy about a lot of things no matter what the PH tried.
Lalit Mohan's comments on FB are in retaliation in what he feels is the cause behind a PH being forced to shut down a show because effectively that's what SP have done. It's not a case of PH deciding 'OK we've come to an end so lets wrap up' it's more the case of their Channel Heads telling them 'Do this or else' and to be fair SP have most probably pointed the finger to the fans for the cause of it all.
Sanaya's comments about Gul getting grief and online comments not being fair was probably another indication that Gul may have grown tired of the negativity and being seen as the villain hence why the PH may have felt they had had enough with everything going on.
Sometimes things like these can leave a bitter taste and if you know you're making a product for the consumer and they aren't happy or it's perceived all of the consumers aren't happy then you do feel like saying what's the point lets call it a day.
