Emraan Hashmi, who recently made news for bagging the role of the male lead in filmmaker Danis Tanovic's next movie, will now be attending a series of acting workshops that will be hosted by the Bosnian-Belgian director. Tanovic, whose 2001 film, No Man's Land (2001), won an Academy Award in the Best Foreign Language Film category, wants to spend some time preparing Emraan before the film goes on the floors. The actor, meanwhile, has already taken time out for the sessions.
"A month before the shoot begins, Danis will fly to India for these workshops," reveals an insider close to the project. "In all likelihood, Danis will be in India by January. The idea is to help Emraan get into character. Since Danis is working with him for the first time, he wants to them both to attain a certain comfort level before they begin shooting," adds the insider.
The currently-untitled film is slated to go on the floors by early next year. "Emraan is very excited about the film. It is a completely new zone for him. He has never worked with an international filmmaker, so he is looking forward to being exposed to new aspects to acting," adds the insider. When contacted, Emraan confirms the news, saying, "I am eagerly looking forward to these workshops. I am sure that there is a lot of new stuff that I will get to learn. And once everything is in place, we will start shooting."
