Even though her parents were not alive, their legacy did not leave her, in a not so good way. Manvi's mom was the daughter of a very reputed judge in Chandighar, Akash Kashyap. Manvi's parents eloped because when her father approached Judge Kashyap for his daughter's hand in marriage, the judge tried to get him arrested on a fake murder case and sentence him for life using his big network of contacts. Virat's grandfather is a great friend of Akash Kashyap and this had greatly affected the turn of events in virat and manvi's life. Judge Kashyap hated his son-in-law and everything related to him. He had never accepted their marriage and so had filled dadajis brain with all sorts of false stories stating that Manvi came from a family of murderers and goons. 'Honour' and 'Reputation' meant everything to dadaji so he strongly refused to have Virat's marriage with Manvi. Viren and Karan, Virat's brothers tried their best to support Virat but nothing yielded out of their efforts.

And this came as no surprise, after his break-up with his Maya, his long time ex-girlfriend in India, he wanted to get away as far away from Maya as possible. Going to stay with Viren for higher studies was just an excuse. Soon after he landed in New York, he took out all his frustration by starting to smoke and drink; his looks and carefree attitude were something the girls went crazy over and this led to numerous flings with anyone and everyone he could lay his hand on. He lost all control on his life to bad habits and people. As things got more and more chaotic, Viren and Jeevika had to check him into a rehabilitation facility. After a few months, when he had become sober and out of rehab, all of them went to India for Viren's wedding.

In due course, numerous events brought Manvi and Virat together; they gradually started developing feelings for each other and when Viren and Jeevika had to stay back in India, to take care of the family law firm; Virat became very attached to Manvi. Manvi helped him regain control over his life; he was inspired by Manvi's passion and ambition in life and together they laid a very strong foundation to their relationship. When Virat confessed his feelings and marriage proposal with Manvi, all the elders accused Virat of not having a career and that he had to obey the elders if he wanted to stay in the house and part the wealth. Virat got outraged and that was when he walked out of the Vadhera mansion permanently. Consequently, dadaji disowned his grandson and ordered everyone in the family to stay away from Virat and the murderer's daughter.

Virat had to stay away from his mom and brothers and only Manvi knew how much he missed them and how much she missed her dear friend Jeevika. Everything reeled in front of Manvi's eyes which were filled with tears.

"Bhai! Bhabi!! Aaapp yaha??" she heard Virat excitedly running to hug his brother and bhabi.

Viren who was also about to break down: "Viraaat, kaise mere bhai?? Poora US peh chaa gaye hai huh??"

Virat: " Bhai, I am so happy to see you. Aapko andaaza nahi hai mein kitna kush hu. Aakir dhoor nahi rah paye na. Mein jantha tha aap zaroor ayyengi, kabhi na kabhi "

It was an emotional moment for both the brothers who haven't seen each other for so long. Jeevika after witnessing this happy union looked towards manvi who was still at the same place, feeling more guilty than ever, blaming herself to be the only reason why Virat was away from her brother all this time.

"Maanvi! Tujse milne key liye taras rahi thi main, I missed you so much " said a teary eyed Jeevika bringing Manvi into the present.

"You have no idea how much I missed you Di, ek baar phone par baat nahi kar sakthi thi kya??? I am so angry with you." Saying this both friends hugged each other and cried their heart out.

All four of them went inside and Viren tells Virat that they just came to US for some case related work couple of days ago and he got to know that his brother lived only a few hours away from where they stayed.

Viren: "Ha yaar dadaji ne bahut warn kiya ghar se chalthe waqt par yaha aane key baad, yeh jaan key ki tum dono itne paas mein ho, humse raha na gaya. We just had an impulse and drove here. Dadaji koh pata nahi lagna chahiye."

Virat laughs: "Hah bhai, dadadji koh mein ja key bataungaa. Hai na? aap bhi na" and then he gets a little senti "Bhai, I am so happy you are here. Waise kaise hai hamare pujya dadaji aur buaji? Ma se baat karne ka bahut maan karta hai bhai or chachu, chachi, shlok kaise hai?. Sab koh baaahut miss karta hu..kya woh muje miss nahi karte??"

Then, something suddenly struck him and he turned to look at Manvi who was standing behind him, crying uncontrollably.

Virat: "Manvi, woh toh main aise hi pooch..." and before he could complete his sentence she ran inside unable to control herself anymore.

Jeevika signaled Virat to stay with his brother and went inside following Manvi : "Manvi, tum kyu itna emotional ho rahi ho??"

Manvi: "Di, I knew Virat was missing his family very much, but you won't believe'he never talks about it. He tells me every small and silly thing he goes through but never about his family. He thinks I will feel bad and guilty about it. Sometimes he becomes silent for a few days and when I ask about it he says work tension."

"I knew all this but listening to him actually speak about it, I could not control myself. Mera toh mummy papa kab ke chale gaye but uska toh itna pyaar karne wala family hai. Only and only because of me he is away from all of them."
