Vidya will have South Indian Punjabi style W:TOI

Preparations for Vidya Balan and Siddharth Roy Kapur's December wedding are on in full swing. While both have decided to stay mum about their wedding date,TOI has learnt from a reliable source that Vidya will wed Siddharth on December 14.

Spilling the beans on the ongoing preparations in the Balan household, the source said, "Preparations are on in full swing at both households. Close friends and relatives have been asked to block their dates from December 11 to 14. She is a Tamilian and he is a Punjabi, so a number of functions have been planned keeping the South Indianand Punjabi culture in mind. While details are still being worked out, they will have a South Indian style wedding and either a Punjabi style wedding after that or a reception. The sangeet and other functions will start from December 11 onwards. The guest list is still being worked out but most of her friends from the industry will be invited. They may throw a separate bash for their friends from the industry but there is no confirmation on that as yet."



Though it is one of the most talked about weddings this year, Vidya and Siddharth want to keep it really low key. They want their special day to be a very private affair with close friends and family, followed by a reception where they will invite friends from the industry.

Though the venue is not known as of now, it has been learnt that the wedding will in all probability take place in a temple.
