12:30pm ; KC

Geet held the cell phone tightly to her hears. Her eyes were all teared and she was choking while talking.

"Hmmm'"

"I'l miss you too'"

"Jaldi aana'"

After ending the call she turned around to meet the same person who was both the reason and may be solution to her teary face. Maan started moving towards her and in response she started moving behind until she hit the wall. He came more close and tenderly caught hold of her waist with his one hand and wiped the tearline from her cheeks. Both looked in each other eyes but Geet's eyes were being more teary every passing second. She closed them tight in order to stop them. Maan started caressing her rosy cheeks which had become more redder because of her sobbing.

"Maine tumhe kitna miss kiya yeh nahi puchogi'?? Tumhare bagair kaise din-raatein kaati yeh nahi puchogi'?? 5 saal ki tanhaahi aur inn 5 dinno ki doori yeh jaanthe huye kii tum Delhi mein ho' Usske bare mein nahi puchogi'?? Tumhare liyein toh waapas aaya' Par tum ruki nahi mere liyein' Kyon??? Yeh nahi bataogi'?? Kya mera pyaar itna kamzor tha joh tum mere liyein ruk nahi paayi'??"

Geet opened her eyes instantly with the threatening words he spoke. She tried removing his hands from her waist but his hold became more tighter.

"Tumhe kya lagta hai Geet..?? Main tumhein ab itni aasani se jaane dunga' Tum sirf meri ho' Yeh haq mera hain (Catching hold of her mangalsutra) kissi aur ka nahi'"

Geet who was struggling in his hold just pushed him away with all her strength simultaneously her mangalsutra also got pulled into Maan's fingers and the black beads fell scattering on the floor. Geet looked at the fallen beads and then glared at Maan who was trying to steady himself.

"Bas bahot hogaya' Sorry to say Mr.Khurana par aap personal relations ko bich mein laa rahein hai' Aap ab bhi aapke office mein hai'"

"Par Mishty..!!"

"For your kind information Mr.Khurana' Main ab na koi Mishty hoon aur naa hi purani Geet Handa hoon.. Yeh joh aap dekh rahein hai (lifting her broken mangalsutra) Yehin haqeeqat hai meri' Main Mrs. Geet Shekhawat hoon' Samjhe aap'"

"Main nahi mantha yeh sab' Aur tum bhi bhool jao yeh sab' Kyon mere pyaar ka imtehaan le rahi hon' Geet??"

"Kaisa pyaar'?? Main nahi karti hoon aapse pyaar' Samjhe aap' Aap koi maayne nahi rakhte mere liyein' Aap ke na hone se koi farak nahi padta meri zindagi mein' Baksh dijiyein mujhe'"

She folded her hands in front of him, crying bitterly and ran away from there.

5:30pm ; KC

Maan sat on his chair recollecting the bitter words she spoke to him today. How could he believe she can get married to some1 else. He had seen pure and eternal love for him in HP. Leaving all that aside as he knew it wasn't true he thought of her last words.

"Kaisa pyaar'??Main nahi karti hoon aapse pyaar' Samjhe aap' Aap koi maayne nahi rakhte mere liyein' Aap ke na hone se koi farak nahi padta meri zindagi mein' Baksh dijiyein mujhe'"

Geet couldn't utter these words in her dreams also he knew that because he had also tried doing the same thing in HP and the consequence was breath-taking for him. Jo ladki mere mazak ko seriously lekar aisi behudi harkat kar sakthi hain' Kya woh mujhse aisa majak karegi'??? He remembered the incident in HP.

Flashback

Their vacations had finally come to an end and so Khurana's were busy in packing their stuff. Maan had to leave for abroad the other day after reaching Delhi in order to pursue his studies. But majnu was all khoya khoya in his laila's dreams kyon na ho. Yesterday was the best night for both of them. Darji had invited the Khurana's for the Lohri festival. Both had great time teasing each other through their glances and then the terrace romance had left him khoya-khoya. God knows whether he slept a wink after that.

"Maan Bete' Maan Bete'"

Dadi Maa shook him and Majnu came out of his lost state.

"Haan Dadi Maa' Aap yahaan'??"

"Woh Maan bete jaane se pehle' I wanted to thank the Handas for inviting us yesterday' Toh Vicky is not ready to accompany me.. Are you free right now'??"

Listening to that his eyes twinkled. Itna accha mauka how could he leave. Golden opportunity to have a look at His Mishty before he left.

"Haan' Haan.. Dadi M free' Chaliyein chalte hai'"

"Offo' Maan aisen hi challenge vest aur track pehn ke..?? Thik se taiyaar toh ho lijiyen'"

Dadi stopped the khoya majnu who had reached half-way the exit. Maan turned and smiled embaressedly at her. Both Dadi-Pota reached the Handa Haveli within half an-hour. They were sitting near the entrance. Dadi Maa, Darji and Geet's Papaji were talking about their family ventures etc. Here Maan was scrutinizing the Haveli to get a glimpse of His Mishty. He turned towards the main door when he heard the sound of bangles to see she was leaning behind the main door and listening to their talks. He shifted himself slightly towards the right so that he could get a better view of her mesmerizing face.

"Mohinderji' Woh hum aaj nikal rahein hai' Yehin batane aaye thein'"

"Lekin Maa Ji' Achanak yeh jaana' Phir kab milna hoga'??"

"Pata nahi Bete' Lekin itna kahenge kii jaldi nahi aa payenge'"

Listening that Geet felt tears glistening her eyes and the smile just got wiped off her face. Maan felt the gloominess and before he could question her she ran away holding the dupatta on her mouth to stop her sobs. Ok.. His Mishty was crying and how could he sit there quietely. He excused about a silly reason and ran behind her calling her name out but she was no way stopping. Finally he somehow managed to catch hold of her and looking at her teary face thought of teasing her.

"Hmm' Yeh aasun kis liyein Geet'??"

"Aaap (sob) jaa (sob) rahein hon na' (sob)"

"Toh iss mein ronewali kya baat hai'?? Main thode hi yahaan tumhare saath har waqt rahunga'???"

"Aap' (sob) samajhte kyon nahi'?? (sob) Aap ko koi farak nahi padtha inn dooriyon se'???"

"Nahi toh' Lekin tumhe meri itni kyon fikar hai..?? Aakhir kya maayne rakhta hoon main tumhare liyein'?? Kya hoga mere hone ya na hone se'??"

"Aap ko' (sob) dekhna hai na' (sob) Kii kya hoga aapke na hone se' (sob) Toh yahin rukhiye aur dekhiye mujhe'??"

With that Geet ran towards the woods near a cliff, turned towards him with more tears and jumped into the river. Maan stood shocked at the sight and only a loud shriek left his mouth.

"Geeettt'!!!"

Without wasting a second he too jumped into the river and caught hold of a drowning Geet and brought her to the shore. She was a little worn out but still in her senses.

"Yeh kya tha Geet'.?? Tum aisa soch bhi kaisi sakthi hon'?? Agar tumhe kuch ho jata toh.. Main kaise jee pata' Huh???"

Geet smiled at his words and spoke in between her ragged breathing.

"Ab samajh aaya aapko' Aap ke na hone se Geet ka zinda rehne ka koi matlab nahi hai... Aap ho toh Geet hai.. Aap nahi toh Geet bhi nahi' Toh kaisa bol liya aapne ke main aapki fikar na karoon..??"

"Main toh bas tumhein chida raha tha Mishty' Mazak bhi nahi kar saktha kya..??"

"Nahi' Aur khabardar joh aapne dubara aisen hamare jasbaaton ka mazak kiya toh' Main aglibar aapko batayein bina aapse door chali jaungi'"

Maan who was enjoying her anger on the very thought of her going away, cupped her face in his palms and turned her towards him harshly and spoke authoratively.

"Dobara mujhse door jaane ki baat mat karna Geet' Main seh nahi paunga yeh' Ab zindagi tumhare bina jeene ka soch bhi nahi saktha'"

He hugged her close to his heart and Geet spoke with tears close to his chest.

"Toh phir aap jaa kyon rahein hai'?? Main yahaan akeli pad jaungi'"

"Mishty bas kuch saal' Meri padaai aur tumhari bhi puri hote hi' Main aaunga tumhein mere saath waapas lene, hamesha ke liyein'"

"Aap Bhool toh nahi jayenge na mujhe..??"

Geet spoke coming out of his hug and looking at him with her dove shaped eyes. Maan wiped her tears which were about to slip down her eyes and pecked her forhead.

"Bhala koi apni Jaan ko bhool saktha hai kya'??"

With that both stood up entwining their fingers in each other. Maan hugged her tightly. Both could feel each other. Both didn't wanted to part for eternity.

She kissed him on his heart and he pecked her eyes gently. Both came out of the hug.

"Aap jaa rahe hon lekin khaali haath nahi.. Aap ke saath mera dil bhi le jaa rahe hon.. Jaldi laut aayiega' Main aapka intezaar karungi'"

"Aur tum meri Jaan ko sambhal kar rakhna' Main jald laut aaunga'"
