Ekta wanted Prithvi 2 come bak & that's why she created a mystery in the story.But mayb amit is not coming in the last moment,thts why she made Karthik the culprit.Its so sad dat ekta always makes the sweet charcters –ve.4 eg:Prithvi,Yug,Saahil,Varun & now Karthik.The next person mayb Siddarth from KTH
