YRF films based on Shiva's Life-Anirudh Pathak
By Tejashree Bhopatkar, TNN | Nov 14, 2012, 01.14 PM IST

Life OK's Devo Ke Dev Mahadev, showcases lord Shiva's life from being a hermit to a householder. Now in the recent held press conference, the creative producer of the show Anirudh Pathak shared his observations on the life of lord Shiva and stated that most of the Yash Raj Films are inspired and taken from the life of Lord Shiva. How? Well he even gave the explanation.

"Though Yash Chopra is no more with us, his films were some how inspired and taken from the life of lord Shiva," states Anirudh Pathak.

He further went on explaining, "Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge (DDLJ) was inspired by Sati Phase, where characters essayed by Amrish Puri, Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan could related with Prajapati Daksh, Sati and Mahadev respectively. "

"In fact the storyline too is same if noticed that one happy go lucky person falls in love with an obedient daughters, whose father gets against their love affair," he signs off.

Our Puranas are a very rich source of inspiration for all the movies, plays, tv shows. Ramayan & Mahabharat is found quite often. Lord Shiva's story is the strongest among all.

actually the Shiva-Sati story(DKDM one) is a bit like that only as Debo said,an extreamly handsome, reserved aloof hero who stays away from love and a beautiful damsel in distress who he constantly has to save, and protect from himself beacuse he knows that she will die if she is with him, even though he loves her as much as she does...
see the similarities?

for that matter even Mahadev and Parvatis story is like that-something to inspire a film a hero looses the love of his life and then she returns and the hero keeps pushing her away till her love finally manages to melt his heart.Only in Mahadev and Parvatis story the girl is the same.
all the Punar Janam Love stories can be inspired by Mahadevs love stories.

also if you see Prajyapatis behavior inspired the Khaddos Indian Film fathers who say "Yeh Shaadi Nahi Ho Sakti"
"Tum Mere Liye Mar Chuki Ho" type of dailogues and the bechari heroine is stuck between her father and husband

similarly Mahadev going to his Sasural/Himavans Palace to impress his To -Be -In Laws(Like DDLJ),to get thier daughters hand in marriage

not to forget Maina fainting on the wedding day and saying a "Yeh Shaadi Nahi Ho Sakti"

the similariltes are endless😆

sure
in PKYEK they showed a love story btwn a Human n a Supernatural being...the boy always try to protect the girl but never let her comes close to him..he always denied that he don't love her but the girl still love him...sometimes that girl bhv like a chiled sometimes very mature, sometimes she can't understand the boy sometimes she got angry with him but still she love him...but the boy know the consiquences what that girl have to pay if she loves him so he try to stay ahway from him..he always said to that girl.."stay away from me..m the fire u will burn..m the darkness u will lost..Embarrassed"...n always do something so the girl stay away from him n forget him or hate him...but the girl didn't n at last he have give up n express his loves for her...but at the end they had to separate...
didn't this similer to ShivSati story?😉Embarrassed😆

ur explanations are really nice 😆
Really Mahadev is a charismatic character in all dimensions...Sati eloped with Mahadev must be the first ever attempt ,which breaks the social norms for every women set by so to be called wise men of that time.
She called the mass of women to listen to their heart rather than rules which piles them ...she set a trend ,but her wicked father closed it ,with that same basement called emotional weakness in our heroine ,who also heard her heart when it called for her father during that fateful day . ...But she never failed to show him the truth .that none can control her actions though its her husband or father ..strange women although 😉.. understanding the concept of birth and death is very difficult for others ,but she redesigned her destiny by volunteering to death ,so that she can be united to her husband ,who is beyond birth and death ,,with eternity ...

no wonder our movies are inspired by them ...😊

even i felt that group dance (extras behind hero and heroine during duets) is also came from Lord krishna 's rasa leela's ...
If Our scriptures are not there ..then .the world will be devoid of almost every emotions that we see in our day to day life including movies ...
