| It's official. Ending weeks of speculation, yet another star actor walks out of a Balaji soap after Rajeev Khandelwal. Ronit Bose Roy has pulled out of Ekta Kapoor's Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Kasautii Zindagi Kay. Ronit, who has been playing Mihir in Kyunki... since 2002, and Mr Bajaj in Kasautii..., upset Ekta when he started shooting for Zee's Sarkar. "Sarkar is being aired on Zee at the same time as Kasautii... How will viewers like seeing Mr Bajaj in a different show at the same time? He had an option, he chose to quit," says Ekta. Ronit admits he'd have liked to continue. "Things, however, are not in my control. I had already committed myself to Sarkar. How could I walk out? Anyway I see myself very busy in the coming months, especially as my wife Neelam is expecting. So I want some time to myself and my family. Doing three daily soaps would have made life tough for me." he explains.
Naturally, expect more twists: Mihir in Kyunki... will meet with an accident and gets a 'new face' after a plastic surgery. As for Mr Bajaj's fate in Kasautii..., for now it remains undecided. | ||
