The actual storyline is.....

Shiv loves Gauri from his childhood without Gauri's knowledge & he kept it within himself.

When he learnt that Mahen has fixed Gauri's marriage with Shashank, he convinced Shashank that Gauri is not suitable for him. But when shashank agreed to marry Gauri, his plan failed. So he decided to create some small misunderstandings in the mind of Gauri against Shashank & cleared them instantly so that Gauri will be foeced to think about shashank & when Shiv will give his final blow against Shashank then Gauri will fall in his trap & will become helpless and alone after the break-up. So it will be easier for him to marry that "DUKHIYAARI" & "BECHAARI" Gauri with everyone's consent as if he is doing a fovour on Gauri.

Shiv will marry Gauri after her break-up with Shashank. He is that kind of guy who is determined to achieve anything he likes.He doesnt even mind to snatch others' things by Hook or by Crook. His this kind of habit was quite visible when he snatched away a contract from his own business associate,Gupta.
He is now desperately & smartly trying to separate Gauri & Shashank although Shashank is his best friend & Gauri is his best friend's fiancee becoz he loves Gauri.

In an interview Ekta claimes that this serial is based on the classic movie
silsila... the story consists of two brothers.. who fall in love with tow
seperate women not one... so its not a triangle... well,, not at least yet...
One of the brother dies.. the other brother feels an obligation to marry
his borthers fiance.. since she is pregnant...so her fulfills his duty
breaking his former girlfriends heart... the woman that he married
eventually has a miscarrage...Tragedy strikes once more, and the woman
loses her child in a car accident. With no child to tie them together, both
drift apart, and the married man starts having an affair with his previous
flame... I guess the serial is probably going to start off somewere
amongst these lines...ekta will probably change it but it will be based on a
love story lsot and found, but twisted by societys demands and
conventions to appear as adultery!!
