Diwali Releases Get Equal Screen Time In North Multiplexes

A couple of the Delhi and North multiplex chains have set there schedules for the Diwali releases Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Son Of Sardaar and it is 50% split for both films.

The Satyam chain of multiplexes which have good presence in Delhi city with 3 properties have given 10 shows each for the film. Its a similar picture in Ghaziabad where a few multiplexes have set there programming giving equal screen time.

The advance at these theatres for Tuesday was also similar for both films. The choice for the audience has meant that the advance for the films is not like Bodyguard, Ek Tha Tiger and Ra.One at least as far as North India is concerned.

If we combine the films then you can compare the advance with those films but as single films the advance at multiplexes is less than the big openers of the last year or so. The initial advance of last year's Diwali release of Ra.One was stronger than either Jab Tak Hai Jaan or Son Of Sardaar. The first day was also always going to be on the lower side due to Diwali Puja and the clash has also ensured that records will also not be broken on the day after Diwali which is traditionally the best day for business in the whole year.

good for both the movies... but why release it on diwali when first day not many will go and watch it..

Ajay will still be pissed he will now say he won't more screens in north plexes or will make a new court case where he will suggest that JTHJ doesn't get screens at all.

He has take insecurities to a completely different level

I posted this as a separate thread..as BOI is more believable than other sources..People may find the thread related to this topic boring or exciting depending on which side is benefiting..lately people have been rather animated🤔

Also BO is not as important for JTHJ..fans are just setting themselves up for diasappintment..Both Salman films ETT and Dabangg2 will make much much more than JTHJ

The film has to be awesome..Thats the only way out..

Let me also add that SRK and YRF are not exactly popular with a section of the media..They are all rather quiet now...but claws will appear when time is right

TA and others can be bought by the other side too.Taran has had a history of dissing and under reporting YRF numbers..only recently he has warmed up to them..

So lets hope SOS gets a decent release..

Not so fast. "Craps" will continue long after the film is released.. either in the form of articles or enlightened opinions. CE is next in line.. the more negativity one can associate with JTHJ, the better chance CE has to be glorified in comparison. There the BO won't matter, SRK's popularity won't matter, content won't matter, nothing will matter. Just like when Deepika walked out of Race2, legality and morality became immaterial and the poor producer was called names on this forum for daring to threaten her with legal action. Similarly Dabang 2 is around the corner. It doesn't take a genius to see what is going on here.

So the problem is solved, if true off course, wonder what made Yashraj productionhouse finally see the light about being fair. Didn't expected this? So what about single screens in the north, is that solved!
