Part 7:
So it was time for round 3, and this was the last and final round, not that Mann was the type to give up but it was definitely the last chance before he took some drastic steps that would see him temporarily maimed by geets' brother.
So it was the last and final round, and the 2 cupids were sweating, possibly even more than Maan because despite all his faults and inability to confess to a girl (even granted that this girl was Geet) they really do love him. So they were gracious and desperate enough to spend their Friday night coming up with the perfect plan. Something so perfect that the combined forces of Geet and Maan would not mess it up (sigh….might as well try to design world peace), anyways, they were sitting and planning, making sure to keep the love sick idiot in sight so that he did not do something stupid (like kidnap Geet) even if they had to listen to his 1960's classical music.
After all the furtive whispering and arguing back and forth, and the occasional interpretation from nani and mom when they dropped off snacks (and by that I mean they listened to, criticized, and rejected every plan they came up with), they decided that simple was the best way to go. While a long term kidnapping was not the best idea, a short term one, say for a few hours on a Sunday afternoon, an afternoon she spends hanging out with her friends, was.
It seemed to work in romantic comedies, the trapped hero and heroine confessing their feelings, so maybe it would work in real life too, not that this whole thing between Geet and Maan wasn't playing out as a romantic comedy anyways.
The question was how to convince Maan of this plan, without making him realize they knew anything. Sigh.
Of course, it would be nani who came up with the best plan; it was not like Maan could ever say no to her for anything. So it was left to her to get him to watch a marathon of movies, all featuring kidnapped love birds, hoping to pull him out of his Geet daze enough to get clued onto the staging for Round 3.
