Hello all you beautiful people.

I'm coming on to the forum after what seems like decades and the only reason for it is this show ''Qubool Hai''..
Being Muslim myself seeing a show with such a talented star cast based on my religion is a refreshing change.

So,
Asad Ahmed Khan.
Seems like he's the heart beating at the core of this show.

In my opinion,

Right now it's too early to comment on his character I mean all that can be deduced is that is a relatively sophisticated person except where ''his father'' is concerned.

He is brought in a appropriate way where everything comes from the norms and diction of society there is no grey in his life it's all either white or black therefore he might come across as conservative. He commits a 100% to rules and regulations because he's afraid of going astray even a little bit, from what I have seen Asad is someone who is afraid to enjoy life because he thinks it might unlock the monsters in him.I mean after all in his words he is Janab Rashid's son.But what I would like to appreciate is that he isnt that stereotyped angry young man which is all the rage in tellywood nowadays.

Asad's interactions with his mother is precious to watch. He isn't in an emotional shell in this show.He understands her pain and respects her positivity. It's always amazing to watch a Prince treat the Queen like she should be treated. He even addresses his own scars and is driven by them in a way..

He's actually deep down afraid that if he feels it'll be as frivolous and fickle as his father's commitment. He loves his family and wants to protect them and keep them happy. In some weird way he's trying to compensate for his father's mistakes I think whether be it being a father figure to Ayaan or keeping Najma in a secure lifestyle or to fend for his family.

Please share your 2 cents :D

Love Shreya

A wonderful thread.
Asad Ahmed Khan is the best..
KSG always becomes the heart of the show.It naturally comes to him coz his acting is simply amazing and makes us go all gaga over him.
Asad Ahmed Khan- My dictionary has no words to praise this man.
I'm in love with him.
Koi mujhe ek Asad de do real life mein.
I feel that with every passing day I'm going to discover more and more beautiful traits of Asad's personality.
His attitude is quite reserved and I feel that different shades of his character are going to be revealed to us one by one.
Asad is a character that has never been on tv before(according to me).He is completely different and I'm left in awe whenever he comes on screen.
You have rightly pointed it out that he is not the stereotype angry young man of tellywood.
He has re-defined the meaning of an angry young man.
Angry young man does not mean that you have to be rude to others, walk in attitude, consider others nothing infront of you, give angry glares and keep a straight face without much emotions.
Asad defines angry young man by the pain in his eyes because of his father's betrayal, decency in his character owing to the teachings of his mother, seriousness on his face where smile appears just for a fraction of seconds sometimes, love and affection for his beloved ones and frustration and hurt because of the failed marriage of his parents.
Anyways,Kudos to you for writing so well about Asad's character.
Keep it up.
Take care!
Asma

Seeing Assad Im reminded of that sheer from Raaz..It's in urdu but I cant really remember the wordings but I guess it was something along the lines that-

''God took all the pain in the world and when he couldnt create anything else with it He made your eyes.''
