too cool for his boots?

okay guys, i'm going to give in at the very beginning and say that yes, i do find shiv, aka iqbal khan, extremely hot, especially his eyes. BUT, am i the only one here who thinks that in playing the role of Shiv, he's trying wayyy too hard to be the cool dude type of guy. so much so that it's like every word he says has to be "cool" sounding, with that extra edge to it. the reason i'm saying this is because it's really getting irritating. it's like, can't this guy talk like a normal person???!!! i don't think this is the actor's fault, because he probably just mouths the dialogues that his supervisors give him. but i just wanted to make sure i wasn't hte only one with this opinion.

i really dont understand his character, and i dont understand the story it seems to be going nowhere and its already 3 weeks into the serial, this is like the first ekta story that hasnt already gotten into the story after three weeks. All i see is gauri and shashank misunderstanding and then patch up, and moments between kaya and gauri - not really taking the story anywhere

THese constant hints of shiv liking some gal and noone knwos who she is, probably is refering to gauri which mite be y he is creating misunderstandings between the two without revealing his true feelings - or he possibly knows the reality of his dad and thus mite be protecting gauri - since the dadi did say he does everything according to his style but he wont break someones heart so he obviously cant be negative. Personally i cant stand shashank he looks too old for gauri and dull-

yeah i think this shashank dude has got potential, if only he'd lose some weight and get a haircut. otherwise he looks bovine. as far as the story not moving, i agree. but at least in one episode this week, they showed that gauri's dad has some deep dark secret, so maybe that will take it somewhere. shiv is just plain annoying. eyeliner is okay, because lots of male actors wear eyeliner and lipstick (ahem, shashank does as well, in case no one has noticed) but i think shiv's eyeliner is a bit OD. like, is it really necessary?
