RK was just about to leave when he turned and called Madhu. Malik and her turned to face RK. Malik's glare met RK's smirk and Madhu watched the two stare each other down. She told Malik that he could go inside and she'd be there shortly. Malik listened and then walked inside while Madhu proceeded to walk towards RK.
She stopped in front of him and he met her gaze:
Madhu: RK...
RK: Biwi, your belongings for two days will be sent to you by morning.
RK turned but Madhu put her hand on his shoulder. He turned his head to stare at the hand on his shoulder and then at Madhu. Madhu slowly pulled away and looked down, RK stared at her and then she met his eyes:
Madhu: RK, thank you.
RK: You know I don't belie...
Madhu: I know, but still. Thank you.
RK didn't say a word; he just smiled and sarcastically answered her thank you:
RK: Make sure you behave biwi. I don't want my in-laws thinking I've spoiled you.
Madhu quietly laughed and RK smiled:
Madhu: Bye RK. See you in two days.
RK: Two days.
They felt awkward; they didn't know whether to hug each other goodbye or to simply turn away. Madhu turned first and RK watched her walk away. He stood there for a minute just thinking to himself. "It's only two days, she needed the break." He looked towards her place and smiled when he saw Madhu staring at him from behind the door. She put her hand up to wave good-bye and then she stepped back and closed the door. RK then turned and walked down the stairs towards his car.
RK got back home and went to his room. It was nearly midnight and he was starting to feel tired after the long day after the puja, Malik, and Madhu situations. He laid down in bed, closed his eyes, and turned out all the lights. Then suddenly his mind was hit with the memory of when Madhu got scared in the studio and hugged him, then the night where he turned the lights out on her and when he turned them back on they locked eyes. RK sat up and turned on half the lights. He turned his head towards his bed and thought "It hasn't even been an hour, how do I miss her already? Wait, why do I even miss her?" RK turned to the right and saw his pills on his bedside table. "There's no way I'll be able to sleep tonight, guess I'll take two pills now," thought RK. He popped two pills and swallowed them. Little did he know that he'd soon regret this decision.
(Middle of the night - 3AM)
Dipali had seen RK walk out with Madhu earlier and then return alone, so she slowly walked into RK's room and then closed and locked the door behind her. She walked up to RK's bed and saw him lying there, fast asleep. He wore no shirt since he was all alone. "Perfect," thought Dipali. She slid into bed next to RK and ran her fingers down his bare chest. She called his name. He tried to open his eyes but was having trouble so he just turned his back towards her. She rubbed his back and then kissed his back. "RK..." she sighed. RK turned around, his eyes half open, and he saw her. No, not Dipali, he saw Madhu. He pictured Madhu in bed beside him. Madhu brought her lips close to touch his cheek. RK closed his eyes. Her lips moved down to his neck. He liked how it felt, and as much as he knew he shouldn't, he gave in. He knew he wanted this. He suddenly turned himself over and laid on top of Madhu. He kissed her forehead, her cheeks, and then began moving down her neck with his lips. He sighed "Madhu..." and Dipali opened her eyes. She pushed RK off of her:
Dipali: What did you just call me?!
RK, who was shocked at the sudden change in mood, rubbed his eyes. He looked straight to see Dipali sitting in bed with him. His face, first full of shock, suddenly was full of rage and regret.
RK: What are you...GET OUT. OUT, NOW!
Dipali got up and ran off out of RK's room. He sat up and just placed his hands over his face. "What did I just do, did I really just...did I imagine it as Madhu and give in?" he thought. He continued to think the rest of the night and then when the clock struck 8am, he picked up his phone and called Madhu.
Madhu: Hello?
RK: Biwi.
Madhu: RK? Why, why are you calli...
RK: I needed to hear your voice.
Madhu: What?
RK: Nothing. See you in two days...
Madhu: RK, is everything oka...
RK hung up before letting her finish. He couldn't figure out how he would face Madhu now.
Suddenly his phone rang, he picked it up:
Madhu: Mr. Rishabh Kundra. Don't try lying to me. You call me biwi, biwi, and you think I can't tell when something's on your mind? Tell me.
RK: I don't have to answer you.
Madhu: I answered you last night; it's your turn now.
RK: Fine, you want to know?
Madhu: Yes.
RK: I couldn't sleep last night...because you weren't there.
There was a moment of silence on the other end and RK was just about to hang up when he heard her speak:
Madhu: Do you miss me RK?
RK: No. Bye biwi.
Madhu: Go ahead and lie to yourself, but keep in mind that you can never lie to me.
RK: Don't use dialogues on me biwi, that's my role, not yours. I said bye. Bye means bye biwi.
Madhu: Fine, bye! Try not to miss me too much.
Madhu giggled and hung up the phone before RK could answer. She smiled at the thought of RK missing her.
RK placed his phone down and sat in bed. "What am I going to do today? No biwi to talk to, no shoot to go to...How am I going to tell Madhu what happened between me and Dipali? What am I going to say? I don't have to explain myself actually. I just won't tell her. She doesn't need to know." RK continued to think to himself in bed. He decided that he'd spend the rest of the time in bed until his biwi came back.
Then RK suddenly called for Bittuji:
Bittuji: Yes chief?
RK: You're my personal guard now. Make sure no one. I mean no one. Enters my room while I sleep.
Bittuji: Uh..okay chief.
Bittuji went outside of RK's room and closed the door behind him. RK laid down and closed his eyes. His mind filled with memories of Madhu and he opened his eyes. He tried closing his eyes again but there she was again. He groaned. He closed his eyes and just accepted the images that his mind was showing him of Madhu. Then slowly he drifted into a deep sleep.
