Why are so many people finding hard to accept Khushi harboring some doubts about Arnav's relationship with Shital?
So far, I have heard all of the following. My argument in Khushi's defense to those points follow...
1. Because Arnav told Khushi that Shital and he were just friends.
Does that mean she should take the literal meaning and stop using her brain? Remember, during Arnav's birthday, even though he explicitly stated that he did not want anything and to treat it like any other day? And, Khushi did just that! Was Arnav happy? See, when someone says something, it should be taken in proper context. You cannot take it literally.
2. Because he is her husband, Khushi should trust him.
Have we all witnessed where blindly trusting a husband got Poojali into? Why was that wrong? Sure, we knew Shyam was a creep, but how was Poojali to know?
3. Because Arnav loves her.
How does she know that? Because, he told her? Didn't Shyam say that he loves Poojali a million times? So, did he love her? Just saying something DOES NOT make it real... Doing something does! Actions, baby!
4. Because he trusted her about Shyam without proof.
And thank GOD for small mercies! Khushi almost lost her life trying to save him! Did he need any more proof? When has Arnav bestowed Khushi with anything that is magnanimous? Heck, he hasn't taken her shopping even! Not even for their wedding!
5. Because she told him she trusted him.
And she does! In her mind, she desperately wants to trust him! What newlywed wife wants to "not" trust her husband? But, the circumstances are such with Shital and mini-ASR around that the fear resurfaces again and again!
6. Because Khushi brought Shital and the boy home.
She could not come up with a better plan to ascertain whether or not the boy is ASR's. So, shoot her! Yes, she is naive and not worldly wise, so no other plan occured to her.
7. She should just ask outright.
The only person that knows for sure is Shital and she ain't talking! Remember, Khushi has already asked her who Arav's father is.
Sorry to break it to you all that find no fault in Arnav...
Trust like respect needs to be EARNED!
From where Khushi is, Arnav has a long road ahead before he can earn her trust. Of course, she does not see that herself, is another matter; she is like a drowning person grasping for straws! Anything she can do to trust Arnav, she is willing to do!
See, why a proper redemption track was necessary? If this same track had played out a couple of months later, after the CVs had taken time to establish love, respect and trust between thenewly weds, we would not have complained as much!
*To be honest, I have not watched the show for over a week and haven't even read the WUs/LUs. This is what I have gathered from "trolling" on the forum. So, if you see any factual error, you are welcome to call me on it!*
