Gauri lives in Kolkota (calcutta) with her fahter, mausi maa, younger sister Kaya, Elder brother and sister-in-law. She belongs to a middle-class family. Kaya wants to study further but having no money in father's hands she asks her brother but he says he can't afford it this year but next year he will. He is scared of his wife. Chatter ji, Gauri's father, is sad as he cant do anything for Kaya. Gauri's would be husband is coming to see her and she will soon be getting married to him.
Mahendar is Chatter ji's childhood friend and Shashank, Gauri's future husband, works in his company as Chartered Accountant. Rumours are that Mahendar is so friendly with Chatter ji just becuase of Chatter ji's good reputation and as elections are coming nearer and nearer, he will get more votes if Chatter ji is with him. Mahendar denies the rumours and Gauri is happy that her father has such a good friend.
Gauri hears Shashank talking on phone to his friend that he has to see the girl and will say no afterwards, otherwise he is not least interested in the girl. Gauri is sad as she knows once Shashank refuses to marry her, her father will be sad, her sister's dream of becoming a doctor would break so she requests Shashank to ask for some time and refuse later. But when Shashank looks at Gauri, he is stunned by her beauty and agrees instantly to marry her. Gauri is shocked.
1.It starts with Gauri giving Paan to her father and kaya says that the guests have finished all the sweets so he will have to do with paan and he does.Kaya says that her father is looking really happy today and leaves.Gauri thinks why the boy said yes.Her father comes to her and says that he hid something from her which was that mahen said that if Shashank married Gauri then all theirs loans would be forgiven and said he didn't tell her this because he didn't want her to take the decision under any force.Gauri says she is going to the kapoors house and says everyone is coming so all the preparations need doing.
2.Gauri shouts to dada and dadi. Dadi says that today her marriage is fixed and she doesn't stop moving about.She also says if you took one holiday then she wouldn't have fired her.Gauri says that if she took a holiday then who would clean up over here.She shouts for Ramu kaka and kanaiya.Then it shows her cleaning up and she also said something which i didn't catch.
3.It shows an aeroplane and these 2 people (don't know who)Its a funny part.
4.Gauri,kaya and her bua going to the temple and gauri is shocked to see shashank.They go up for a puja and Shashank stops gauri and tells her that he wanted to talk to her but gauri doesn't want to.She is about to fall but doesn't and shashank tried to help her.He follows her and says to her that he knows she was hurt after hearing on the phone and he came there to refuse the proposal but after seeing,meeting and hearing her he has realised he can't find a better girl than her.They both face eachother.He also says that the girl who can take care of her family can also take good care of her husband and his family.Gauri doesn't agree but shashank says a few more things including will she marry him.They do the puja.
5.Dadi asks where is everyone and everyone comes.Gauri leaves and is shown running in the haweli.She drops something and the kapoors turn around.
BREAK
Dadi says she always comes late.Maya asks how gauri is she says she is fine.Dadi tells her to go see if the preparations for the party are ready.
6.Its night and palak is one the phone chit chatting.Maya comes and says get ready.Gauri comes and palak is starting to get ready.Gauri shows Palak a set and Palak moves it away and asks a servant where the design she picked is.
7.The party,Palak is ready and dadi introduces gauri to some lady and then she sees shashank.He calls Gauri with hand gestures but she nods no.They keep looking at eachother till Gauri goes away.She bumps into Sahshank and shashank said he wants to talk to her and he says he really really likes her.Dadi comes and asks are were they flirting and then dada comes and says something funny and then walks forward and says now that dollice(i think)and Neetu are her theres gonna be lots of fun in the party.Next we see dada dancing to Say shava shava from kabhi khushi kabhi gham and then it shows achint kaur(don't know her name in the show)was waiting for a friend and this boy comes and she says that he was his friend and takes him to introduce him to some people.Dada announces that Mrs Krishna Kapoor aka dadi will do a performance.She sings Mayee ni mayee from hum aapke hai kaun whilst gauri goes to freshen up.A waiter accidently spills juice over maya's sari.She goes to clean up.Whilst freshing up Gauri hears a sound and goes to see who it is.She is shocked to see palak with the boy who was achint kaur's friend.Palak tries to bribe gauri with money.Maya reaches the door but it won't open and she starts screaming and shouting that someone is in her room.The boy who is inside tells gauri not to worry and escape through the window but Palak pushes Gauri out of the way and goes first and as soon as gauri is about to go the door opens and they see gauri and the boy together everyone is shocked.
episode starts with everyone opening the door they find gauri n prasanjeet in each others arms maya starts laughing n in a very witchy sweet tone taunts gauri a lot tells her that if she knew that gauri was with her boyfrend she wouldnt disturb them gauri looks down (ekta 's another sacrificial character)n keeps quiet thinkin if she opens her mouth mahen will be ashamed shashank who is disgusted leaves mahen orders everyone to go down n attend the party they all go down gauri is crying may in her witchy irritating tone goes to payal of ksbkbt (dont know her character name srry) n tells wow what drama n she gets irritated n gives one look she goes away everyone is disturbed but pretend to enjoy mahen's father n mom are not seen mahen announces palak's engagement to sumit they exchange rings n prasanjeet keeps staring getting jealous (well deserved) n everybody dances on say na say na gauri comes n sees palak n sumeet n prasanjeet shashank who is standing in front of the mirror notices gauri lookin at shsank gauri wants to clear his confusion but cant do anythin the song is over prasanjeet tries to talk to nikhila when she tells him that she doesnt want to talk to her sumeet callls him for a photo nikhila tells him to go after the photograph palak tells him not to open his mouth bout her its her marriage n she will marry who is of her status loving is different n marriage is different(well deserved )he is dissapointed n leaves gauri is ready to leaves n is goin downstairs when she is stopped by her baba n kaya who is late for the party is in a suit he asks her how he is lookin n apologises thinkin she is upset coz hes late gauri tries to go away when mahen comes n greets gauri's baba gauri is hyper tensed n stares at mahen with a real scarry look mahen blinks slowly n tries to tell her that he wont tell her baba anythin gauri is still scared shashank is all set to leave when mahen stops him n gauri's baba greets him he smiles n mahen says that where r u goin now u r a part of our family so come shashank waits n goes with mahen he stares at gauri n leaves with them kaya tells gauri to come she avoids her n tells her she will come later nikhila is giving some motherly advice to palak both have her mom n daughter talk n palak asks for nikhilas earing for which she says she wiill give them to her on her wedding gauri's baba speaks to shashank that he wont be able to do these preperations but also try to do his best he tells him that he has got him stiched a suit which he will send it to him on his address shashank who is trying to runaway pretends good n smiles gauri's baba gifts him a pen n tells that this is more strong that a sword n that this has a lot of strength as it writes only truth but truth is bitter so all dont like it shashank smiles gauri is standing behind in the meanwhile he stares at her n tells he will take it someother time gauri's baba says oh that means u will take it on ur wedding ok ok so shud i leave shashank says namaste n leaves gauri's baba calls mahen n tells that he has a different glow on his face today due to palak's engagement n which he will also have when gauri is engaged mahen is a bit upset but smiles gauri's baba n kaya leave gauri is just goin to leave when she sees a lady serving drink faint she helps her n tells her to rest n that she will serve it she serves the drink n the guest gives her 100rs tip which she gives the lady the guest comes n says that i gave the tip to u then y did u give it to her take this again a 100rs mahen takes the note n tells exuse me she is my daughter the guest apologises n leaves gauri is ready leave but mahen says he got to speak to her gauri is really worried but someone calls mahen so he has to leave (bach gayi gauri)
gauri leaves n goes home her baba comes to her searching for her immediately she pretends to sleep n her baba sees her puts a blanket n leaves she cries more nikhila at her room is thinkin about what happen palak says that foget it gauri wont get a rich boyfrend so may be nikhila stops her n says she knows gauri well palak says meeting twice a year u cant judge a person nikhila tells her that she is proud of her that she hasnt done anythin wrong till now n made her a pround mother unlike gauri
at the breakfast table dadi - mahens mom isnt having anythin nikhila tries to calm her n tells that if prasanjeet n gauri like eachother we will get them married mahens mom says no i know gauri her eyes facing down proves that she is innocent n if there was somethin she would tell me 1st i know her from 18 years mahen gets up nikhila asks her where is he goin he says mom i am goin to check ur 18yrs of trust -at gauris house pishi ma n kaya are leaving for pooja they tell gauri to close the door she closes n again opens to find mahen she tells baba is not at home mahen interrupts n tells her he is here to meet her they both go up she takes a pan box n gives to him n says baba told me u like pan n to give u always a full pan he pushes her hand n tells gauri i dont want this see u r like my daughter n as a father i have the right to question u he asks her calmly what happened yesterday she keeps quite n starts crying mahen says my mom has 18 years trust on u gauri tell me what happened yesterday she starts crying n mahen looses his temper n yells at her what were u doing yesterday with that guy -gauri's baba yells from behind immediately mahen babu! both are shocked
alok shouts at mahen n is very upset n tells mahen that by questioning gauri he has questioned his character (this one is a real good dialoge) if anyone questions a person god n his child it means questioning on his existence he considered him as his brother n he has questioned on his faith today n that he will pay off all his debts when mahen tries to explain he stops him n asks gauri about the truth gauri still doesnt say anythin n he considers her silence as yes n starts crying n tells mahen to leave mahen tries to console him but he tells him to leave kaya listens to all this is stunned
alok is really hurt n falls all including debo come to catch him but he pushes gauri n she is shattered he takes of debo's hand n he says i am a bad son but let me atleast support u he says pls sell this house n take ur share if u want to support me as i have to pay mahens debts sudesha gets a disgusted look alok leaves with kaya
gauri goes to her room n is crying
alok is sitting in hall quiet n crying sudesha comes n offers him food when he doesnt listen debo signalls her to convince him she does n also taunts gauri n tells that she told not to do gauri's marriage in such a house but who listens she tells that she has a proposal for gauri they also disagreed but she somehow convinced them just then kaya comes n tells that he is the same person who was goin to marry ur sister but she ran away with her boyfrend debo shouts at her she answers back that y were u quiet when she spoke about ur sister alok shouts keeep quiet all leave me alone n leaves
gauri sees all this from inside n goes to her room again n cries seeing her mothers pic(inkyph nishants bua) kaya comes in takes her pillow n blanket n leaves gauri stops her n tells her to atleast listen to her she says that she does want to talk to her n leaves just then mausi ma enters gauri is crying on the bed n maushi ma slides her hand over her head she gets up n mashi ma says that there is some real big reason about what happen yesterday thats y at the cost of ur dad"s n family honour also u r quiet gauri cries n maushi ma tells her what ever one says she will always trust her n is always with her
mahen comes home n meets shashank on his way n tells him that he can take his decision n that he has not forced him for anythin he tells him that i know what to do n(god knows what will he do ) he goes out n mahen goes in all is seen by dadi who then goes to the home mandir n prays to krishna that u know everything n that she still has faith in gauri n now u only can sort evrythin out a bhajan plays where gauri is shown in the terrace n alok is sittin some where n dadi is shown praying
some girl starts dancing with him wen that palak enters with that shameless jerk prasanjeet n sees shiv n tells prasanjeet when did he come kolkata we ill leave other wise if he sees us we ill be in trouble n his boyfrend comes n taps on his shoulder thats when they show his full face n the bhajan actually ends the gguy questions him that y were u dancing with my gf he says she was dancing with me hes lookin extremely coool n handsome in his white suit with marrooon brown coolin glasses he leaves givin some real cool dialouges n tells that till now i was dancin now u dance he leaves that guy slaps her gf n he was goin to give her one more slap when shiv stops him n tells that u shud not raise ur hand against women he slaps him n pushes him he falls to the bar table n then he starts of with his action palak n prasanjeet leave (cowards) the manager calls the police n mahen gets a call he says what nikhila who was passing by gets tensed
they show out of police station press reporters questioning mahen he avoids them shiv is shown behind the bars n mahen presents the bail papers to the police inspector where as all others are tensed in heat inside the lockup our cool dude is just chillaxed n sittin coolly behind bars he is left n mahen sees him with real anger expression
she reaches to de haweli and goes straight to iqbals room (don't no is name sorry) where he is topless (haila) and misunderstands him as shashak but wen iqbal says something gauri realises dat it's not im and feels embaressed(you shud be embaressed coz u no to knock before cumin in)it's a very funny scene wit iqbal jokin and gauri astonished at wat he is saying
shashak comes out of the bathroom and gauri covers her eyes think he hasn't got any clothes on or a towel but wen she opens her eyes he has his clothes on meaning shiv was jus jokin around. shashak tells gauri some stuff about shiv and his life.gauri says thanks to shashank and the lights go off
then maya is complaining who switched the lightes off and shiv says it was him and maya says why. shiv says dat there's always a maqzad in life. he turns on the lights and says the the maqzad is pura. he then phones shashak and says hav fun to im.
they gauri and shashak on a boat ride together and dey say some diologues wich i can't remeber but she asks im how did he know the truth and he says the first tym dat they met ther was something about gauri and he knew gauri coudn't do anyfin wrong. then a song plays
gauri is appling nailpolish to kaya's feet and kaya says dat heard mumbai is a big city and everyone says dat people get lost gauri says how will she beable to live without baba and kaya says every girl has to go and gauri says it's tym to get her married and kaya starts crying on how will she be able to live without gauri and dey both hug
a train is shown
n they reach mumbai they show a mumbai darshan n they reach mahens house where alok asks the manager how many flats does he have here he says that this whole bunglow is his he is surprised n mahen greets him inside alok funnily asks mahen u have some black business also maya tells him that if someelse had have told this he would be out mahen sweetly says no n tells the servant to put his luggage in the room next to his maya gets paranoid tone n says that no no i have done thier arrangment in the out house alok agrees n insists mahen to say yes meanwhile maya is staring at gauri's clothes n says tangy kaya gets angry when they were moving to out side kaya tells gauri why dint u say anythin she says its ok they move into the outhouse gauri does the pooja n hangs her mothers photo
night a reporter is shown reporting about palak's engagement gauri comes in wearing a bengali style ethnic wear loookin really nice reporters take her photo maya comes n in her tone says ohhhhhhhwwwwww tradiional ethnic wear nice dadi stares ather n says sadgi sabse alag hoti hai palak comes n all reporter pushing gauri go to her later
nikhila takes her kajal n puts in on gauris face tellin she looks really good palak is envying her n then nikhila asks her about the jewellery collected by her mom gauri says yes this is her mom nikhila says now u have to take this from this mom also n gives her earing to her actually makes her wear n palak remembers that she asked for those n gets all jealous maya comes n taunts gauri ohhh this ur mom has collected for ur marrige itssssss silver n its gold plated n earings are pure gold n without any efort u got them she is embarrised n maya leaves on nikhila's stare later maya goes to palak who removes her earing n promises her self that she wont leave gauri n that this mumbai.
