Today's episode was very good but i would like to mention the first scene of the episode.
Brahma and Vishnu tell Shiv that Bhriga is doing tapasya since a long time and it's time to make his tapasya successful.
I loved Shiv's dialogue after this.He said everybody is doing tapasya and our bhakti but for their own selfish needs and not to get us.What a meaningful dialogue was that?it applies to us.Whenever we pray to God,it's for the fulfillment of our small/big wishes. But we never pray to God to get him.And then we complain that it's difficult to get God.If we do bhakti without any selfish or materialistic needs,if we do bhakti only to attain salvation then we will definitely achieve our goal.
This is the biggest lesson we learnt from that very small scene. And in the end of the scene,Shiv said with heavy heart,"i am going to give Bhriga a boon."Even God is also helpless and misses us and wishes that we go to him asap.

So true. But doesn't Bhakti mean unconditional love, surrender and faith towards God without any expectation?? So when we ask God for our materialistic needs instead of Bhakti Prayer, Worship or penance sounds and suits good. Isn't it??

@red: Very very true. We all pray to God for the fulfillment of our wishes but it is very rare to find anyone who selflessly prays to God to attain Him. I rarely ask God for anything particular but I do ask that "whatever He does for us or gives us be for our own good". Because what I ask may not be good for me. Only God knows what is best for me. I used to say a lot of Vishnu stotras before I got married ( also my mom is a Vishnu bhakt- she says the Vishnu sahsranama daily ) but after marriage I started worshipping Lord Shiva also as my mother in law is a Shiv bhakt and follower. I dont know who is greater but I feel peace in chanting names of both. I have heard that Lord Shiva is easy to please ( I dont follow rituals and pooja vidhana etc to the T ) so I like to pray to Shiva just by offering some water and sugar. It is important to pray selflessly to obtain HIm. This is a great lesson for the viewers.

Even praying to attain god is selfishness. Because we "WANT" something.
Emptying the mind of all thoughts, of all emotions is one way of coming close to divinity .
One cannot attain god. We can come close to them.
Thoughtlessness is difficult to achieve but not impossible.
Concentrate on the self , look deep within yourself. Just for a second or a fraction of a second watch ur breathing.
In and out ,, feel ur breath over ur lips.
Just try it.. For those few seconds ur mind is empty.
Feel it . Feel for urself those few seconds of completeness.

That was the best dialogue of this epi.
What he said is perfectly right when someone does penanace like Briga, Tarakasur, getting God or attaining Shiv should be the ultimate goal. But they use their penanace to fuffill their motives, that must be painful for God, as he cares for his devotee.
Humans have many needs, problems. When they can not be solved by them, they seek help from the ultimate power to get themout of their miseries. This Bhakti starts as Sakama (with desire), should turn into Nishkama (without desire). Becoming Jeev to Shiv is the final goal. How much time it takes for a soulto reach at that state, is known only to God.
