@apana...nice analysis of DS's psyche! Can't say was not expecting DS to do another palti but was disappointed by how easy it was for Jagiya to convince her & how fast she flipped. I expected her reasons to be a little more concrete (CM,Sanchi, ghotala etc) wherein she would somehow feel that Shiv is not worthy of Anandi. But all she needed was some nautanki from J, crying like a pathetic child begging for A & she was ready to shelve her morals & love for Anandi. Yes she has manipulated people (ESP her beendhnis) to suit her needs all her life, but there has always been a cool/calculating mind behind it all... a method to the madness.
Throughout her fixing Ansh it was repeatedly shown that she really believes Shiv is the kind of partner that Anandi needs...her true soulmate in every sense of the word. She has always appreciated Shiv's qualities & how he is the one capable of giving her happiness...how he complements her professionally & personally. What was even more disturbing was that she had just finished finalizing everything with Shiv's family & the CM...but it took her a brief internal dialogue to put everyone's well being, honor, happiness aside to fulfill the whim of her laadesar.
She is so blinded in his love that she is ready to face condemnation from everyone in this life & face hell from Devima in the afterlife, as her dialogue suggested. He is going to be her ultimate undoing, eventually whenever they end the show. To me she appeared completely irrational & in a state of panic...desperate to stop the wedding. The way she went about convincing A was indignified & in bad taste...somewhere b/w cajoling, bullying, begging with flimsy justification. In her agitation over J's well being she did not even notice how happy & contented Anandi looked. A couple of months ago this same DS was despairing when she saw A going over the remenants of her past with J.
So what the Cvs want us to realise is that all the new found love for A & desire to see her happy & settled in life just stemmed from her own immense guilt & desperation to undo some of the bad karma she & her laadla had accumulated. The one & only thing that matters to her is that she sees J happy & well settled in life...if that means dragging A back into his life so be it. She gets the perfect Beendhni back, her haveli will be complete again, she has her cake & eats it too.
@areyaar...her total disregard for Shiv's feelings & well being shows that he was just a pawn in her game of guilt-riddance! Not for a second did she stop to think how this would affect him. Cause in her delusional state she might believe that A still loves J & will be happy with him once again, but she knows how invested Shiv is into this relationship. I hope at some point Shiv will see thro' this & realize where he stands as far as DS is concerned...may come in handy post marriage when I am sure we can expect DS to call Anandi every time J slips up and lands in a mess again. The cycle will go on...how else will they go on for another 4 yrs!
And now we should be prepared for the manipulations/scheming from the Dadi-pota for the next couple of weeks to break A & S.
And yes if someone as brilliant as Surekhaji Sikri wasn't essaying the role of DS I would have loved to hate her...but she makes DS so human & so fallible!
