Hi everyone, I'm about to head to work but just saw the news on Frankenstorm Sandy (biggest hurricane in a while, on the east coast of North America).

I know that MEIEJ has many fans from around the world. So, I just wanted to say that I hope all MBians, that are near or in the hurricane, are alright. I really hope all of you and your families are doing well.

300 000+ homes, and still more to come, are without power. So that could be one reason if anyone is seen missing from these forums. Just a heads up. 67 people are dead, and counting (RIP). Around 60 million people are to be effected by this storm. Heard the high winds will be coming to where I am soon...Will be losing power myself, starting to get prepared.

Storm Update: 3.1 million people without power now. Many more dead. RIP to all those individuals who passed due to nature's hurricane attack. Winds starting to pick up in Canada. Supposed to go up to 100km/h overnight. Hope everyone is prepared.

New Update: NYU Hospital backup generator has died. All machines stopped working. Hospital staff working to save the lives of all the patients by helping them down a 9 stories of stairs, one by one.

Just hope all our friends across the Eastern Coast are safe. Hope this hurricane passes out without much of the anticipated damage. We all shall definitely be praying for you all

yeh, take care everyone. We are situated further inland, away from the areas of even a secondary hit, yet we have been experiencing strong winds, rain and an overcast conditions from two days.

Those in the region of direct hit.. hope you guys do well and come out unscathed.

every one who lives near east coast,take care frnds...hope the hurricane doesn't do nymore damage than it already has...we will definately be praying for u all...i m frm india btw...

Just heard abt Hurricane Sandy in the news...I really hope that everyone in the eastern coast is safe...I have gone through Hurricane Ike and Katrina so I know how much devastation it can cause...Praying to God that everyone on the eastern coast stays safe.

Edit: My aunt is stuck in New York and its crazy out there in New York. Guys pls be safe!
