I never try to decipher anything dear. I just share what i perceive about the characters. I never intend to decode the future but always try to connect the present with the past.
I believe LEARNING is an endless ongoing process and i try to learn new things from whatever/whomever i come across... like you gave a new perspective for SHADOW in your previous post.
Actually thanks to Aqualine for introducing me to this fascinating world of Arhasia, which is flavoured with love, friendship and lots of mystery.👏
So lets forget about all other ideas about decoding, dissecting, deciphering, etc... let us all try to keep healthy discussions regarding our perspectives of the characters and the enchanting world of Arhasia. What say shass? 😉

A quick thanks to a few dear ones:

Crinklez (so good to see you again dear and yes, I watched the show becoz it was nicknamed Indianized P&P at the start), soamom (needy little Richard lover*sigh*), Keerthi (cheer up, dear. Wondrous scenes to come up soon), hellgirl (I'm blind to spelling mistakes when listening to the language of your heart), march (I had stopped PMing you when I realized you no longer came to Arhasia bit its indeed a surprise finding you here!), vrinda dear (my special visitor, yes……there are symbolic meanings where one seeks them!), dear allzwell and sweet rocking soni, Salsa (missed you dear!! So much!!!) dear kvarsha, sweet casker, dear Mxk, strong-hearted angeldream, Leafs (Yay! My Forum Mentor with her Green Tea!!! Hugs to you, my dearest Comrade!!), my dear vibrant reader Shikha, sweet Sonia (your name is in the list, I can't believe you didn't see it dear!!), dear Shalve and flower4u, new visitor anjs, sweet Sohpie dear who I wish will get better and return to my world and find her smile again………

Siaa: Gasp! Sia! Dear! Your're here again! You do not know how happy I'm to see you and to think that you read and liked all the comments! I am sooo happy. Ah yes, as you pointed out, the tale began with the hooded one in the first thread and began with her in the second thread to! I like your look into the "maternal" colour of this dark persona and you describe her as the "Labyrinth personified". Will reserve the rest for what is to come dear……and true: once the reason for salvation, later may be the reason for hurt…………..

Khusiarnav: It was now that I noticed something curiously similar in us: our personalized spelling for the heroine of our show! While I write "Kushi," you write "Khusi" and yet the right spelling is "Khushi" which I can never come to write! *chuckle* You and Kushipugly NEVER leave the Inn, do you guys? Are you also staying in that cottage Kushipugky rented near the Inn? I am so glad you loved Kushi-La convo, Manohar-manorama convo, Payal-Akash convo and I was laughing when I saw how the hopeless romantic in you went ga-ga over Lord Arnav's dialogue to Shadow!

Sona: Your love for all the visitors and lovers of this thread makes me what to hug you! And I loved that last line of yours "Dooria effect on Chotey!" Distances and depths……….

Indiavizion: Clever reader! I know you know that I know what you know regarding what I know you are going to know soon!

Medharees: "Master's woe"!! You always make capsule versions of my updates that make me want to sing!

Vidya: Yes, dear. It seems you are the only one who worded the obvious, it being the chunri scene from the show……..and the engraving will need to wait before it emerges again in another form!

Heta: You're here! At last! So good to see you dear and yes, everyone's been quite happy seeing you to. Shas has even asked you to join in her and hoopoe's*rolls my eyes* discussion on Page 22……*wink* Those two make my FF intellectually sparkle and now you're in it too! Ha! But now you're going to know the "pangs of waiting" for an update too!! Tell me what it's like, dear! *chuckle* And I'm so happy seeing your interact and quote others to emphasize your understanding of this tale………….

Kushipugly: my most ardent reader who makes time to shower my thread with her pictures!! No wonder Shas calls you her sunshine! And goodness you are like replying and liking and welcoming new visitors all over the thread! In my absence, thou art playing my secretary? *chuckle* I was discussing this with Aura at college, how my Anjali changed the tasteless of Kushipugly towards the destructed Anjali in the show. I'm sooo glad you can look at her in the bright side dear! How was your Eid dear? Maybe you should treat us Arhasians in honour of the occasion, and that goes for Leafs and Shas and whoever else had a major celebration of the event at their home! Eid Mubarak again!

ASRandKKGSRFan: I am well dear and I hope you are too! Loved your admiration for Lord Manohar and Lord Arnav's last few shots and especially his last statement! But like kushipugly pointed out, the part I loved best in your comment was the depth in your description to the Kushi-Anjali scene in the room! Just beautiful, dear!

Saga_twilight: Goodness! A whole para on my titling of you? Your theory accepted, complicated lover! *wink* Oh my! You termed my La-Kushi convos as "unforgettable!" Glee!!! And yeah, poetic justice!! So you a literary freak too?

Music: Gasp! S! You too, Brutus? You and saomom! North and South crazed twosome! No, I've not watched it but the way you two keep picking on that show, I fear I might end up watching it after all.

Jammy dear: Your musings always make me love my FF more! The trouble you take to pen down your thoughts when you would have preferred to silently enjoy the chapters…….I gotta thank YOU for what you are giving me, dear! And to think that you pause to read the pre-notes too! And how I look forward to hearing more of your thoughts!!

Jonashi of the CAC: Ah! My most Arhasian-centred reader! OH, you really want to know my thoughts on the show? Well, I have some epi-catching up to do before I can tell you anything……but lately I focus more time on this FF than on our beloved show! Sad, I know! Your comments made me laugh and about the red drops on the white cloth……….I am afraid Arnav thought that way for some reason that will be explained slowly…….there is something with red and him. There is something with red drops and him. There is something with red drops on her innocence and him………………

Bablio, arushi_fan, Saraa: I am literally jumping about in the room reading your comments and I wish I had the control to sit me down and reply the way you rightfully deserve but for now, do accept these words of gratitude from mine young heart and know I wait for your visit to the Inn!! And yes, dear Saraa, your love for the INTENSITY, and sweet arushi_fan, you actually stayed up till 3am to finish my tale? *Pale* Hope you covered up your sleep somehow! And, bablio dear, thank you for taking the oath. I shall put your name on the parchment in the next update………….

Farha: Hope you had a wonderful time in your celebrations. Interesting! You want the general to come soon? Well, let's see if he will…….

Hoopoe: Your pointers always address the best pointers in the lot. And this time too, you have done justice to the depth! The engravings as you said and the significance of Kush having been laid on Anjali's bed and none other, the talk on "revenge" being a glimpse into the past (but is it Arnav's?)……all these crucial points you have highlighted and they stand out to acknowledge their existence soon to become clearer as the tale proceeds. As to the red drops on the white……I myself do not know why he thought it, but something in his unconscious was triggered to think it and I think I tried to give the possible understanding of that line in my comment to Jonashi. I am so delighted to know you and Shas share your thoughts here and I am even gladder when I see that you speak yours out if you find something you are not pleased to match with your understanding of it! Thank you for being part of my world, dear hoopoe!

Breeze: *dancing* I can never reply to your comments in the right way here but I will try to make time and tell you *looks left and right and whispers* personally how much I immerse myself in your love for my tale! I always love my story in a happier light after reading your innocent and, sometimes, not-so-innocent *wink* comments!

Shas: Come on now! Did you think that only Kushi and Anjali could be Drama Queens? *smirk* I know I worded it over! But that was what happened. My brother was like, "Where are you going?", and I headed for the door muttering "Fresh Air". You know why? Because your comment was a look into my future thoughts which even I hadn't completely thought out! How can man ransack one's personal thoughts? I guess, friends can! Friends as inquisitive as you! Loved your correction of Lord Manohar's description of Mami. I think I like yours better! And what in the world are you doing? What's wrong with hoopoe's font size? I like it. Yours was real puny when shrunk but hoopoe's is cute and sweet! And when she makes it big, it loses its look. Oh dear! Look what we too are doing, Shas! Fighting like cats over a scarp of meet: here, hoopoe's font size! *guffaw* And about what you and Shas and Heta are upto here……I restrain from comment on your discussions yet for I have a tale to narrate first! But I will say this: intellectual words do not matter but your heart in what you speak does. Wisdom lies in the beholder, truth in the eye that searches for it, and those who put their heads together to understand mysteries, will find new ones as they unravel. *grin*

Shas, this is for you to see why I said your writing is too small and hoopoe's writing is better compared to your timidification!!

Nice update dear, giving ample space for the other characters as well.

"Come one, Shadow," said Lord Arnav, "You wanted to see her one last time, didn't you? Content?"...Epic.
The state of Lord Arnav on the unexpected hasty departure of khushi reminded me of mami's words...

"I am certain he is bewitched by some girl."

The signs of a man in love...

Arshy4ever: Late is better than never, dear. I know you must be having a hard time managing your schedlur but to think that we could have met once being in the same state of the country! How are the rains there? I guess the blistering afternoons make the rains more rewarding and sweet than the happy moments you always have with them! And wow! Do you know Aura in this Forum calls me Bronte? I don't know what the real meaning is being that nickname but yeah, I'm Bronte to her and she's Dickinson to me. Too Emilys fooling around in college and in ArShi magic! I'm so pleased to find a literary freak among my list of readers! And so happy to know you felt Kushi in your veins when she dawdled through the cold windy darkness holding a candle!!

Bablio (friend of Golden Dragon and Kushipugly), Ayeshasad, Surya.Ravi, aruhi_fan, Saraa...welcome to the land of Arhasia! Yes, kushipugly's already welcomed you but I must officially tell you how happy we are to have you amidst us!

Honoring saomom's and STB's demand for an update: well, yeah, here's the next one!

Chapter Ninety One: At Buaji's

I am at a loss of words to describe the ecstasy of the two young girls as they prepared the house and meals and how they had rushed to open the door on hearing the sound of cart wheels halt in the garden of Buaji's house. My own eyes would have teared up watching the way Babuji embraced his daughters to him like he was promising never to leave them again. Payal pressed her face to her father's shoulder and her happy tears fell on his shirt and Kushi inclined her head on her father's chest and was enveloped in his familiar fatherly scent.

The mother was busy ambling about in the house seeing to the dinner and the sacks and boxes they had arrived with, from the North Village. Kushi walked into the kitchen where the frenzied mother was talking non-stop about the things she had to do, now that she was back to managing 'the girls and their ways.' Just as the mother turned around to sprint towards the dining hall again, she was taken aback by the young embracing arms around her.

For a moment the mother said nothing. Her prattle stopped and her heart calmed. If she had been trying to put up a strong front and not get emotional before her family, in Kushi's embrace, she surrendered to her reluctant tears. One tiny drop slid down her cheek, but before Kushi saw it, she wiped it away and then pushed the young girl back, "What do you think you are doing, young lady? Suffocating your mother when she has to see to the cooking?"

"Oh Amma!" Kushi complained, "You just arrived from a long travel. Why do you worry yourself about dinner? We girls are here and look," she waved her hand to the side counter, "We have prepared all."

"Oh," said the mother in eschewal, looking at the arranged dishes covered with lids, waiting to be served at the dining table, "I suppose in my hurry about the kitchen, I didn't notice that little set by the counter."

Dinner was a happy celebration of togetherness and as they passed the dishes around and the father fed the girls' from his hand occasionally, and Buaji complained about the girls and Kushi's little mischiefs, the laughter and joy remained in the atmosphere, enveloping them in a the secure completeness of knowing they would always be together.

After dinner, before all retired to bed, the girls had gone to make coffee for the elders, who were seated in the living room by the tiny fireplace.

"Will you be returning back to the North, brother?" asked the aunt of the girls.

"Presently I have no such plans," said their father as he leaned back in the armchair and he looked at his wife, "We were planning on finding some work here in this village and earn enough to add to what we got from selling the house and the mill to try and marry our girls off to good families."

"Ah, marriage, yes," said his sister nodding, "It is time we wedded them off and your girls deserve the best we can get them."

"Certainly," said the mother, "I shall have nothing less than what's best for my girls."

"You have anyone in mind?" asked the aunt, looking at her brother and his wife simultaneously.

"None yet," said the father and he looked at his sister, "Were you not talking of some General whom you found quite a gentleman?"

"Yes," said the aunt eagerly, "He has written to me twice or thrice and I have met him once too." She leaned forward to them, "Let me tell you, I have never seen a man so polite and respectable in nobleness as him."

The father nodded but said nothing. The mother spoke to him, "If you can find more about him we could see if he is good for our Payalia."

"Payalia?" Buaji looked at her, "Oh, there is something you are overlooking. I'm sure I'd written to you about this. You see that man has expressed his wish to be cordial with our Kushibitiya through letters and he often writes to her. He knows our Kushi more than our Payalia. I suppose it would only be sensible if we should set him apart for Kushibitiya, right?"

"Yes," said the father, "If he is good enough. Though I hate having to marry her off to men who spend their days in battlefields and are never certain if they will be alive in the next moment or not……"

"He is a well-trained soldier or would he have become a General, brother," reasoned his sister, "Besides his core and bearing is what matters. If he is a good man, we need fear nothing. If the Divine Hand wants them to marry, so shall it be."

The mother frowned, "I will not let Kushibitya marry before Payalia. She is eldest one and so it is the norm to get her married off first. What will the people think if we married off the second one before the first!"

"True," said the father, "Though I want both my daughters to be married off on the same day."

"That will be too expensive," said the aunt.

"Doing two marriages on the same day will be the same as doing them separately," said the father, "I see no difference, Madhumati."

"So, what of the General?" asked the mother, not wanting to drop the topic until it was cleared.

"I will try and find more about him," said the father, "But first I must find a good man for my Payalia. And then we shall marry them off together."

The conversation stopped just then as the girls entered the living room with the cups of coffee and then they turned the conversation to more lively talk of all the little adventures the girls had in their stay at the South Village.

"Why did you never reply to our letters, Babuji?" asked Kushi when the elders paused to sip their coffee, while she sat on the floor near her father's feet and poked the firewood in the furnace to heat the room better.

The father sighed before confessing, "I had not the strength to write amidst all the issues there and I did not let your mother write because I was certain she would go and tell all that was happening in her letter."

Kushi looked at Payal and understanding crossed their faces, the pain of their parents reflecting in their young hearts. Guilt returned to rave at the younger one's heart.

Kushi's feeble voice reached out, "Babuji, I'm sorry I-"

"Kushi!" came the warning voice of her aunt and the young girl shut her mouth. Her aunt would not tolerate guilt for past follies in her house, especially if, according to her, there was no viable need to bring them up again.

When it was time for bed, Garima volunteered to tuck them in. She kissed them goodnight, blew the candle off and then made for the door.

Kushi called to her, "Amma?"

"Yes?" The mother waited near the door, her hand on the handle.

"It's good to have you back," the young voice reached out from the darkness.

"You go to sleep, girl," said the mother impatiently and left the room. When she had closed the door, she looked over her shoulder at the door of the room she had left and smiled sadly, "Yes, bitiya, it's good to be back to a world where you two are there."

No PMs during weekdays, as always. I'll be back right now after having dinner…….In the meantime, enjoy this update. Another update to be put up tomorrow too!

uh oh talks of marriage...sad that they had to sell the mill and the house..I wonder what effect the parents will have now that they are going to be present daily. And marrying off with the General...oh buaji it's always you isn't it haha. It would be extremely funny if Khushi went back to the castle and proclaimed that she was engaged (if some action of the sort should be taken while Khushi is on her break?) Great update Lin!

After having a funfull day with kids at the park, my mood was completely ruined with todays epi & that horrible basketball precap but aquiline as usual your update just cheered me up big time😊thankyou 🤗
FAB update of the family reunion👏. garima still has her restrictions when it comes to khushi even though deep in her heart she adores her a lot. I love this madhumati ji who is a no nonsense lady, doesn't want to see anybody living in the past & not moving on & i love this madhumati ji who cares for khushi wellbeing with sincerity even though she is not blood related.
& here comes the most dreadful topic of all times, a marriage proposal for shyam & khushi
well nobody uptil now knows about shaym personal life & assuming that he is writing to a single girl, any concern fasmily memeber can draw this conclusion. Shyam is a very honourable brave gerneral who has a very polite & humble personality, so it was right for madhumati ji to bring forward the alliance proposal. & i luv madhumatiji acknowledged that even though payal is the first one to get married & also their blood daughter but as shaym seems to be interested in khushi, nobody should think of him with payal .
Aquiline, i hated madhumati ji in the show when she made khushi engaged to shaym but now you are showing this whole scene in a completely different light.
you seems to be correcting all those horrendous blunders which were made by those so called cvs.
loved the update & thankyou for cheering us up after that horrendous episode where khushi's character is totally assasinated😭

Oh!! How thoughtful of you to have included me in your comments...
i am honoured!!🤗

and what an amazing bonding of the family!!!
though it shudders me to re - visit the shyam fiasco that is soon to emerge .. i am not sure if i am able to handle it again!! given the intensity that ur narration has... its gonna get my blood boiling when those horrid scenes will take place...

i do hope there are twists in the coming updates that will not make it a cliche following the track from the show!! well i can only hope... the actual product is yours .. so bring it on gal!! i shall take it the way u conceive it...after all every dusk promises a new dawn!!😉

~P
P.S:- Do you have a specific manner of frequency in updating? just curious so that i know when to expect the next!!
