Both albums are directed by A.R.Rahman. Which one's better?

Although I love the title track from JTHJ, I can't help but notice how ordinary the songs are when compared to Rahman's last superduperfuper hit album Rockstar. JTHJ songs aren't bad per say, in fact they're way better than the poop that is coming out of music directors' asses these days, But Rockstar's music was a whole different level, it was loved by both the audience and critics. In fact people said that the music was the soul of the movie. JTHJ's album released a while ago but the it still hasnt become as popular as expected. In fact, most people are let down. Maybe people's expectations after Rockstar were too high, I don't know. But I sure am extremely let down by JTHJ's songs. Especially Saaans. Oh my God that song is torture! Such a sleeping pill 🥱. Worse than Asin. But the title track is BEAUTIFUL. The only face-saving song of the album.

Rahman should have started composing bhajans after Rang De Basanti.

Rockstar. It's not even a comparison, sountrack of Rush is way better then JTHJ ... music of JTHJ is disappointing

Actually now that I think of it, Rockstar had wayyy better lyrics than corny JTHJ lyrics..I meaann seriously...Saaans mein teri, mujhey saaans aayiii????...I willl love you jab tak hai jaaan?? 😆 Maybe the sogns will make more sense after the movie releases, I dont know.

Rockstar had phenomenal lyrics! forgot who the guy was but maannn, they were so darn philosophical..and had so so much depth to them...I mean Naadaaan Parindeyyy, Sadda Haqqq, Jo bhi Main, Hawa Hawa, Katiya Karoo...man the lyrics to those songs were simply marvelous.

Rockstar had Mohit Chauhan songs mostly..makes it monotonous.. i would say JTHJ while Tum ho beats each song from JTHJ.

JTHJ songs are good but Rockstar is just another LEVEL man! I'll go listen to the album again! <3

But the story required one singer for all songs because Ranbir played a singer in the movie and obviously he couldnt have Mohit Chauhan sing one song, Sonu Nigam sing the second and Bappi Lehri sing the third 😆

Haha you like Tum Ho? I love that song too..so melodious and soothing. Whenever I listen to that song, I feel like I'm floating in the sky. But I love the other songs more.

but it still is monotonous... while i love MC songs but JTHJ has got variety.. javed ali,mohit,Raghav,Raabi...all songs r pretty good but u need time to realize that... !!! its not like u will like JTHJ songs more than Rockstar songs but they r not that bad as some one compared to Rush songs...seriously !!! 😆

And i think ARR makes composition always keeping the movie in the mind !!! no random songs !!! 😛
