...She will get respect for being the only Yash chopra heroine, who never acted and still made the movie a hit!

Yash Ji's death and Katrina gaining respect - where's the connection, dost?!
Anyways, If she gives a good performance, she will earn respect. But I won't hold my breath :P

This topic is nonsensical. Why should an actress get respect for a movie, just because the producer/director passed away? what is the basis of her success based on that factor alone?

As someone posted earlier, respect is earned NOT given and so far Katrina has done nothing to earn respect as an actress.

Shaking your behind and showing off skin is not acting. Accent or no accent, Katrina should learn to emote so the people can look past her accent.

Take Tom Alter for example, though he can speak impeccable hindi the man looks nothing like an Indian, he's fairer compared to Katrina, but when you see him act you forget that the person is a Britisher portraying the role of an Indian. Katrina passes for an Indian, I got cousins lighter than her, but her bad acting ruins it for her.
