AN ODE TO REDUX
My dear Friends,
REDUX was a brilliant platform provided by two illusionaries Sathya and Doods for various writers to present their varying views and takes on the episode. The views need not been the same as all five fingers our hand are not the same.
Each and every analysis was treated with the same respect. There were no camps or campwaasi's.
It radiated with positivity that Sathya and Doods always maintained.
REDUX was UNITY IN DIVERSITY, and am very proud to be a part of it for a brief while.
We did not know how each other looked and were from different backgrounds, cultures and countries around the globe coming together for the common love of a show called IPKKND. We only discussed the show and the various possible plots and scenarios etc. It was designed such that 1st four pages were reserved for analysis and the rest for discussions.
We became like a family that in the end we were addicted to REDUX and the reduxians rather than the show. The day REDUX closed was a very heart breaking one, thinking I am loosing something I hold so precious in life. I could not get over it for days. In fact I can tell you I still haven't got over it yet.
The various analysis, the discussions, the weekend 24/7 discussions and deliberation leading to a four thread minimum. Sathya asking some questions or a scenario and asking us to give the answers for it. We break our heads or it, our answers being answered by another question. I will never ever forget those precious days for I made a bond with each one of them for life.
I remember vividly one day, Trin asked a doubt and she left for work I think. Then Sathya turned it on to us and asked us to answer. The session was for a marathon one and Trin came back and asked are you still at it. I chided Trin for asking the doubt in the first place. Trin apologized, saying if I knew it would end up like this I would not asked the doubt in the first place. We had so much fun and jelled like a family.
I loved the humor, anger, ranting, and despair felt by each one of my friends.I also miss the brain storming sessions of Sathya's, allowing us to use our brain and slowly learn to decode the episode. This is the magnanimity of Sathya and Doods. They also wanted us to grow like them.
I made so many friends who are so precious to me. I could identify everyone's weakness and how they used to tease that person. I used to make blunders and Sathya used to correct me gently, I think only when you care for a person that you will scold that person. I loved it that day, For Sathya cared for me.
I as I said was heartbroken that day Sathya and Doods were closing and we begged them for an alternative. They suggested such a thread and then Adda was born under their presence.
I really hope we take forward their hard work by following their footsteps in the Adda.
Girls I have become quite sentimental about something very precious to me.
Please don't throw chappals or Tamartars or Jelebis at me.

Hello all! Another short post from me-
The episode didn't move me much. Few things that struck me;
1. The Sheetal woman seems fishy-
a. Arav meets with Khushi twice, "accidentally"
b. Sheetal makes her appearance afterwards and she happens to be Arnav's former flame.
c. She turns up at AR the next day seeking a job, and acts as if she was unaware ASR was the boss. Really? Then she pretends she can't work with him. Methinks, she knew he would be there; she acted up her discomfiture for his benefit- playing on his guilt.
d. Then the scene at the Raizadas- she keeps saying she is late and needs to go. But the hurry shown was not acted upon. She allowed herself to be stalled.
e. The next day she came for the prescription- conveniently left behind? Hmm...
f. Again the drama, staying for breakfast, leaving the boy behind
g. She actually allowed Khushi, a virtual stranger to be present while talking to the doctor about her son's health? Wow! Unbelievable!
h. Back at RM; pieces of information conveniently let slip- single mother, "bechari", guilt of a single mother, well done, Sheetal!
i. Perfect, immaculate timing of the phone call from the Landlord, and also the hotel details.
j. Invitation issued- and accepted with just about the right amount of reluctance- "PERFECT"
2. Things I was glad about:
a. Khushi is thinking, not jumping to conclusions, and she wants herself to be proven wrong, quite desperately; nice touch.
b. ASR is not totally clueless, and he is getting impatient and his famed anger is coming through.😃 Yes, I am glad to see the anger back. It was one of the trademarks of ASR. Ankhein taras gayi thi, usko dekhne ke liye- the angry ASR. I hope he throws a tantrum soon. Because then he is sure to do something woefully idiotic in his rage and then we might, just might, get to see some action.
c. Khushi is not all mahan.😈 Her evil, practical, selfish alter ego raised its head today and advised her not to maarofy the "Sheetal naam ki kulhadi" on her own feet. Personally I loved the bad girl Khushi. Go, Girl!
d. Akash is back.
3.Pet Peeves
a. Sheetal looks hot.😉 Man, she is stylish. Are they deliberately trying to make Khushi look shabby in front of her?😡 I do NOT like it.b. SI has a nice figure. Not voluptuous of course, but that doesn't make it look any less attractive. There are plenty of ethnic wear styles that will look good on her. Concentrate more on style. Please do away with the tents and velvet and tone down the glitter. Not wholly of course as glitter is quintessentially Khushi. But it can surely be toned down, can't it?
c. Why are the family emphasizing so much about how the kid resembles their Chotte? 😕OK, once or twice is alright. But to be continuing in this style is in poor taste.
That's it for now! Thank you for reading. Good Day, All! And loads of hugs!🤗
