Abhas Mehta—For portraying the role of a typical wimp.
Abhaa Parmer : For showing a buaji who scolds her neice but can not stand someone else doing that. The only female who stands up to Arnav and Arnav obliges.
Arshad Khan- For creating a chemistry in a married couple which included IPK theme of love hate and longing for months whether that be when one is applying holi, eating golgappas, giving tiklis, exercising, trying to commit suicide, trying to fix a button or even wishing a simple happy birthday. Thanks for making us yearn for when they are going to be together.
Barun Sobti- I cannot say enough. For investing so much time and energy in this show when he had better alternatives, for coming to the set when he was on leave, for giving video interview to lower our nerves, for making us read each of his expressions and understand what he wants to say with his eyes, for not cracking in the midst of so much fan pressure etc.
CVs- For creating the magic and make us believe in love where the hero or heroine are not a typical fairytale ones and fell in love inspite of each other. In any case I appreciate that it is not M&B type romance either which is highly physical and the couple in spite of loving each other did not jump in bed on the first opportunity. Showing us that a girl using her education, giving money to her parents after marriage, staying in her parents' house, have in-laws supporting and be strict, a sister-in-law who is not evil incarnated, standing up for your parents on your wedding day, it is better that a girl stays home then get married to a person because of dowry, a man paying for his in-laws in need, a love marriage not looked down by family, a love marriage with no fairy tale course, the support of family in putting couples together when needed and the list goes on. All of these they have shown us subtly without showing the leads doing something heroic but normal. Showing us where priorities lie a man in his office and a wife in her husband without others losing their value.
Daljeet—For showing us what a weak women is even though she herself is a strong one and staying with us inspite of all the taunts.
Deepali - For her delivering punch lines when needed and l love all of them from telling Khushi- Tum itni bi Bari nehi huye ke sab kuch tomhare liye hoge.
Jaysree T—The only Nani who actually cooks and works rather then ordering around and showing us her dance moves.
Lalit Mohan—For creating a IPK involving each family member, creating different auras when someone falls in love to when they realize they are in love and giving us very memorable sangeets.
Karan Godwani- Making a very depressing environment light.
Pyumori Mehta: Showing that a mother is not necessarily one who gives birth and is not always perfect, a mother who not only loves but also knows her kids, a mother who would not lie for her kids or ask them to lie for her, a mother who resolves the issues in her kids' marital problems while very well pretending she does not know that there is one.
Sanaya Irani: Her acting is subtle but strong. Khushi's role I think is one of the most difficult ones to do, considering it has to be a whimsical girl and having to change emotions many times in the episode every day. For standing by us and bringing smile on our face with your antics. Appreciate Sanaya for improving herself. For portraying someone who is not subdued for wrong reasons.
Utkarsha Naik : A mother-in-law whom anyone can count on when needed. Loved her hello hi bye bye. Portraying the role of an unpredictable mother who acts as if she is their child, joking with each of her children and their spouses even her own mother in law, show extremes of emotion depending on the situation.
