Thanks Anj for providing this logical understanding...though I am still not convinced abt the way they have been handling Jagya's return and (according to me) Dadisa's sudden fall from grace. But at least now i am willing to give the benefit of doubt to the writers.
I hated this similar track even during Badi Masiji's time, but at least at that time Anandi had the satisfaction of doing it for a person whom she loved and who cared abt her. But this time, it is being done for a man who has left no opportunity to hurt her, humiliate her...devastate her. From how I see the situation, Anandi is not doing all this on humanitarian grounds...she is doing it for Dadisa...coz she knows DS cannot see Jagya ill. The conditioning Anandi has received from her childhood, doesn't permit her to even go against DS unexpressed or implied wishes...she is unable to accept she is not honour bound to do every single thing DS wishes
An eye for an eye would make the world blind...i agree (in principle😆). In practice I tend to be more of the 'tit for tat' mentality😉 I am not suggesting that Anandi should stoop down to Jag's level, but she also doesn't need to lay down her life (literally & figuratively) for him any longer. I think, letting Jagya stay back home in his illness is showing enough humanity...she shouldn't fulfill all his whims & fancies.
Coming to the Singhs now...DS has once again proved that no on, absolutely NO ONE comes before Jagya. She definitely feels a lot for Anandi and I don't doubt her love & acceptance...but for her, Jagya is in a different league altogether. While taking Anandi for granted, though not acceptable, is still ok...but DS's complete indifference to what Shiv might feel or how his family may react is reminiscent of the old DS.
I loved the Mahabharata analogies which have been drawn here. Bhairon is definitely Vidur...who knows the difference between right & wrong, but yet due to his position in the court of Dadisa is still helpless to do anything. I only hope that in time to come, Bhairon turns out to be the Krishna to Jagya's Shishupala!!
