This is just a suggetion,
Watch this show without any expectations, accept what appeals to you, don't bother about the rest. We are watching the maker's interpreted version, which is excellent at time, ridiculous too some times, so never bother so much.
We all are aware some aspects of how our real Gods are, no one can claim they know everything. We have been reading, hearing,, experiencing about their various aspects since we are born.
So what we know & experience is more important then anything else. Good things shown about them will enhance out faith, will make us understand them better. That doesn't mean some distorted versions can change our mind. This may never happen because what we know & have read since many years is deep rooted in our mind & life.
There are 18 puranas & many Up-puranas. Every puran glorifys the Deity whose story it is.
It is found very often that the same incident is interpreted in different manner, giving importance to the lead deity of that Purana. Some tracks of DKDM are found in other scriptures too. eg. about Kundalini Chakras, Tantra is found in detail in Yoga.
Creative discussion & criticism is good but beyond a limit it starts changing our frame of mind towards bit of negativity, which should be carefully avoided by us.

very nice post minu!!
ya you are right..we all know different versions from different sources of the same incident...
and as you said every purana glorifies the god that it is based upon..but most of them are narrating the same thing but with a different perspective.
so having continuous rants on the things shown in dkdm is not going to get us anywhere when there is a possibility that what the cv's are showing must be a part of something.

ps - by the way minu , the uncanny similarities between the meenakshi in dkdm and goddess meenakshi is really a very big blooper!! 😆

@yukthi, may be she'll be shown again in future, this 5 mins part for a known actress is not convincing that she came only forn such a short time.
Except the name Meenakshi & her South Indian origine, there is nothing simillar to the Goddess Minakshi form till now.😆

Hi all. I agree with you but I need a suggestion from you. I recommended this show to my relatives and friends and forced them to watch this show. And they finally watched some episodes especially the Mahakali episode and they all are saying"rubbish" "what is this?" Now my some of my freinds belong to very orthodoux family and from my relatives, my paternal aunt is vaishnavite,my uncle doesn't take a drop of water before he finishes his daily worship of 'Narayan Shila' and my uncles who live in our ancestral house in village are Shaivite and worshiped Lord Shiva everyday. Some of them are not so enlighten of puranas and some has good knowledge of puranas and vedas. They start scolding me for recomending this show. Now please suggest me what should I say to convince them?I love this show and want my dear and near persons also do watch this. So what should I tell them?

@mrmrfrever, convincing our elders is difficult at times😆There are risks of recommending a show to them, it doesn't turn upto their expectations as the approach of the makers is different compared to other Mytho shows. Actually strong Vaishnavites are happy at the way Vishnuji is shown here. Generally Shivites are broad minded, they'll like everything is centered on Shivji.
