But seriously thank you friends for your lovely comments. I am so overwhelmed with your love and affection.

Now coming to my note. So thanks to Lakshmi, Hermoso, Shruthe, Ash, Cyberlife, Neha, Mishtiritu, Jenn, Gudmeet, Tellyme and many of you who have started protesting collectively I have decided to TRY (please read word TRY carefully) to extend VIVAH by making history. For first time in Geet forum, I will give a multi part Epilogue and TRY to extend my already mammoth epilogue into chapters.

Also for all those who are ready to kill me (anky especially for you yaar...ek hi bechara heart hai and u r ready to rip it apart in a heart beat), VIVAH still has 5-6 chapters remaining. And I have a new FF as well on which I have started working. But now will get back to VIVAH on your demand and start posting it probably along with epilogue of this FF.

Hopefully I have put rest to your fears and so please smile and keep commenting.

PS: Ash bachao yaar and batao sab ko ki mere new FF ka first chapter kitna acha hai…inko use padhne ka mood hi nahi hai. I need reinforcement. These people know how to melt my bhola bhala heart…

Chapter 64

Monday

Maan called up Geet and asked her if she could drop into his office today at 4:00 PM. Geet had been a little surprised but Maan just said that he needed her signature on some papers which need to be processed today.

Geet reached office at around 3:30PM as she didn't want to keep him waiting. This was her first visit to his office and she fell in love with the glass architecture where KC was housed. She entered the office and liked the interior decoration which oozed professionalism, confidence and aura of being a top construction company but in such a subtle way that it still kept the essence of a welcome. It seemed like a real pleasant place to work.

She adored the plants and off course paintings which lined the foyer and the waiting area. But what really caught her eye was a black wall with water running over it and a small pond beneath. It felt so cool and leant a sense of calmness.

Her thoughts were broken by the receptionist as she kept down the phone.

"Excuse me….How can I help?"

"Hi…I am here to meet Mr. Maan Singh Khurana"

Receptionist scanned the beautiful and elegant lady in front of her and beamed a smile not knowing if she was some important client or otherwise.

"Good Evening Mam…can I have your name please and also do you have an appointment to meet sir?"

Geet did not know how to answer the young girl

"Well I guess I have a sort of an appointment"

"Mam?"

"Actually Maan called me here so it can be called an appointment. By the way, I am Mrs. Geet Khurana"

It took few seconds for receptionist to connect the dots and Geet almost giggled at the way she got flustered and got up from her seat hearing her name. She immediately called Maan's secretary who escorted her to Maan's cabin. As Geet walked to his room, she realized that more than 50% of his employees were young girls.

"Khadooss…Dusht Danav…no wonder he spends so much time in office….ek woh chudail Sasha and see how he is surrounded by pretty faces

Chi chi Babaji…how can I think about my husband like that. Woh toh meri taraf hi nahi dekhte toh inki taraf kya dekhenge.

Waise that's not really true. Aaj kal toh bilkul besharam ho gaye hain…complete U turn"

"Err where is Maan?"

"Sir is in a meeting but I will inform him."

"No need…I mean he knows I am coming so no need to inform."

Geet settled on the couch lost in her thoughts. She looked around admiring his cabin. She got up and walked to the glass wall behind his desk.

"Wow…nice view"

Then she looked at his desk. It was very clean with a family picture (minus her), stationery, phone and a monitor. But what startled her was a picture from the birthday picnic where she stood with Vicky with some yellow flowers in her hand. She did not know why but she felt really happy seeing her picture on his desk as she settled herself in his chair feeling his aroma. She waited for some time reading some magazine and when bored stated twirling in his chair giggling like a school girl. She felt euphoric sitting in his cabin and in his chair as if she was now part of his another facet of life.

Suddenly the door opened and Maan walked in with Adi and Sasha in tow. Both Adi and Sasha almost got a heart attack seeing their boss smile as he looked at his cute wife taking rounds in his chair. Geet stopped hearing the door open and looked at Maan wide eyed. She felt embarrassed to be caught like this and didn't know if he will like her sitting in his chair. She got up immediately but the sudden movement and her previous rounds had made her a little dizzy and she almost fell.

Maan saw her almost falling and ran to support her.

"Geet!!!"

Maan held her close holding her hand and waist – "You ok?"

Geet smiled – "Hmmm…just feeling a little dizzy"

"Baitho yahan"

Sasha looked with an open mouth as Maan gently placed Geet back into his chair. Maan looked back and immediately changed into an angry avatar seeing Sasha ogling at them

"What are you seeing? Don't you guys have any work and Adi ask Rashi to hold my calls. "

Both Adi and Sasha scuttled away leaving their dangerous boss and wife alone.

"Geet…here have some water"

Geet drank few sips and then sheepishly looked at him – "Sorry"

Maan looked at her with raised eyebrows – "You forgot so soon the punishment of saying unnecessary sorries and thanks"

Geet blushed remembering their last day's conversation.

After she felt ok, Maan settled her on the couch and pulled a bunch of papers from his drawer. He just pointed and she signed.

"Maan yeh sab waise kya hai?"

"Nothing much Jaan…just some insurance papers, will and bank documents."

Geet stopped and blinked her eyes – "lekin Maan, is sab ki kya zaroorat hai?"

"Geet, who knows better than me that how fickle life can be. Agar mujhe kuch ho gaya toh…"

But before he could complete his sentence, Geet put her palm on his mouth shaking her head in denial. Maan gently pulled her hand down and brushed it with his fingers – "Come on Geet. This is just a procedure. You know all this right. You are my wife. There are pieces of my assets and liabilities which even Daadima doesn't know. But you should know Geet. Not only know but you are part of all of it. And I don't have to tell you importance of life insurance. I already had one; I have just added you as the primary beneficiary formally. These are just some documents. Now give me a big smile…hmmm"

Maan cupped her face but Geet just hugged him.

"Acha baba…wrong choice of words…let's just say, these are some financial docs and now work all done. Ab toh muskura do"

Geet still shook her head in denial

"Ok...how about if I tell you that I am done for the day and we can do whatever you want this evening"

Geet smiled still in his embrace and finally nodded her head.
