Well that seems to be the general consensus on the forum... ???

My question is... Why can it not be Shamsher Mallick...?

Answer: Because he is Mr. Goody two shoes... A man of principles?

So what does a Man of principles do?

Let his daughter be with a (supposed) beast, who ruined her character in front of the entire nation, ruined his and paddy's relation and gave it a very cheap outlook, forcefully made him sign a contract when he was in the hospital... and does not leave a chance to taunt his family in public (Now this would Mr. Mallick's perspective for he does not know the real RK right? )

And Mallick should work day in and day out and still fight to collect Rs. 40 lakh to pay RK his karz, to get his daughter freed from the forced relation ... What would a father do in such a situation who knows it would be difficult to arrange for the money quickly? Would he stick to ethics, principles or think of his daughter?

Why are we so afraid to accept flawed characters? Why do we expect Madhu not to use the photographs against RK, why do we expect her not to take any help from Deepali... Why do we want Shamsher Mallick not to be the one behind RK's murder (if that would have ever happened) ? But still love a flawed RK?

Well don't you think if RK has his reasons to be rude and arrogant, Mallik has his own reason to may be try and kill RK? However i'm not implying that what Mallick is doing is right... I guess may be he should have robbed a bank ... to save his daughter rather than killing RK... 😆 but may be he thinks... saap bhi mar jaaye aur lathi bhi na tute 😉

PS: Even i don't want it to be Shamsher Mallick to be behind the all this fuss... But then thinking practically and logically about it... i guess it makes more sense... than Mukund here...

My take on the news of Mallick being the shooter. I posted this in another thread. But thought this fits here.

Agree with your comments Azi.

When I think most about Mallick being the shooter, it fits the pieces. He might be the one. He has enough reasons.

Also he is someone who acts impulsively. Remember when he saw the press conference on TV, and when Ayi came and show him the pics of Madhu with RK and insults Madhu, without thinking he went to RK mansion and try to attack RK.

The last time we saw in the episode, he has a murderous look. I think even if it's not him also, CV"s will show him as a suspect for sometime and then will reveal the truth of the killer. OR he could be make the shooter.

If we think from his point of view, just wipe off the memories and happenings which happen in Rishbala life these past few days. RK getting softer, changing attitude towards Madhu, both of them getting closer, RK's mom's closeness to Madhu and all. All these things were not seen by Shammu right and I'm sure Padmini for fear, will not talk about it to him either. He was shocked Padmini invited RK and his family to visarjan at chawl.

Now think about what he has seen. Press conference of RK insulting him and Paddy, destroying Madhu's reputation, made her lose her simple life, beating Shammu, which makes him almost lost his life, blackmailing Madhu to get married giving only one option to get money. Making him sign the contract forcefully when he was on hospital bed. How would he feel. Wouldn't he want to kill the person who has done all these things to his daughter and destroyed the happiness in their life??

I think if we as viewers just put aside the recent happenings and the revelations of RK's past and his life, then we would be more sympathized with Shammu. How would he feel as a father. Maybe he made the effort of getting well just for revenge and free Madhu. So he might think this is the option to free her. But whatever they have shown of Shammu, I'm also not happy if he was the shooter and he made this choice to free Madhu, instead of trying to get money to free her.

Also whatever happens in RK's life, doesn't give him the right to do what he did to their family. Ofcourse as viewers we were made to understand now who was RK, not that evil person we first saw. But Shammu didn't see that na. For him RK is still the person he has seen before. But like RK doesn't have the right to do all these to Madhu's family, Shammu too doesn't get the right to kill RK for what he has done.

though Shamu has all reasons of killing RK, and perhaps the most obvious guess of shooter too, he is not the person behind the attack. 😊..

exactly my point..especially after today...we must reconstruct our disbelief and feel a confirmation that it is him. he actually suggested that it'd be better f he died..he believes rk to brainwash or lure madhu...thats the extent of hostility...and there are several reasons of course..he was nearly dead because rk , his daughter was married to him by selling herself for the sake of him after being humiliated by rk in front of the whole world...rk blackmails him with money to get his daughter back as if madhu is a collective property...shamsher not having enough money must've thought of such an alternative...also why maybe the reason why he is shocked at the difference of madhu's behaviour and feelings towards rk..even shamsher feels the evolution of madhu's feelings for rk. its unbelievable.RishBaala might get stronger and stronger in an irrevocable bond after madhu gets to know who it was and still fights for her husband..it'll make rk soften to great lengths especially after knowing how madhu save ...as well as get his denial bells ringing within his ears every second that will lead to the separation of course..:D and before the separation...there will be some soft moments where both will lose their defenses and after those defenses the rage and anger that rk will have on himself and the shock madhu will have on herself will lead to the separation..and then maybe a mishap with Madhu will lead rk back to madhu right again as fate would have it...
