Khushi is Gawaar and cringeworthy? Seriously? - Page 18

i too was thinking of writing abt khushi and her OTT behavior... as said by you, not only ASR, we audience,also the raizada's are well aware of her type of behavior...we don't want her to chagne and be like the typical BAHUS...WELL SAID👏

thankyou! finally someone who makes some sense! so much crap about khushi being OTT, and for a while i was like but hasnt she always been OTT? Mindless comedy does get to me sometime like (the whole swami bit that got a bit too much cause they were repeating it over and over again) but then i am an annoying person, so i quite enjoyed that as well. 😃 haha

Sorry but i dont agree to some points in ur post. I dint call Kushi gawar & i never will. But some of the scenes did make me cringe. And i am not talking bt just KKG. The entire Raizada clan including ASR made me cringe. So Kushi has not been 2 multiplexes. But has this richie rich family not been 2 malls? Dont THEY know that food is not allowed inside malls, theaters, amusement parks etc. i was equally frustrated with the behaviour of nk, akash & nani. And ASR wat is with this man? The ASR i know w'd ve simply growled at NK made him scamper frm his seat & w'd ve shut the entire family up with just a look. so all of them made me cringe & not just kkg. so i am not biased or basher but a rational viewer who cant stomach OTT comedy.

if u want genuine comedy then think of the nainital trip or the didi tere jetji song. thats comedy. this is not!

and reg all those ppl saying that no1 must change aft marriage again i disagree. yeah ur individual qlty & character remains the same but in public places u do learn to restrain urself. what u used 2 do in college cant b done all the time. its not just marriage. the same happens when u join a company.

any character must show mental progress & growth with age. whether u like it or not she just cant do things which embarrass her spouse. And no i am not talking only bt wife. I ve used the word spouse coz the rules r the same for both man & woman. a guy cant storm into his wife's office & create a scene & similarly a girl cant storm into her hubby's office & create a scene. its just plain ridiculous. no company or office ll tolerate such things.

in my company (IT) a married couple were warned & forced to take 1 week leave coz they were making out in the company premises. this is not some gawar company in a village but 1 of the largest IT co in India & this happened in Pune. So i request ppl 2 b more realistic!

This is life not a fairy tale! Employment, sex & child birth always brings more maturity to a woman & that is missing in KKG.

I dont care wat she does in the confines of the bedroom. she can even play piggy back with asr or even inky-pinky-ponky. but in public place she must act more mature. y do ppl equate maturity with snobbishness? payal is mature but that doesnt make her a snob.

And yeah many of even ASR's actions ve made me cringe. making her sleep near the poolside, playing water balloon game with kkg in his office bef his security guards & client, making her run rnd for rent, asking her 2 act like a TV.

ultimately the writers must stop ruining the characters of asr, kkg, nani everyone.

but yeah they go overboard more with kkg than any of the other characters. its just shoddy, lazy writing!

I watched the episode 3 times and found it getting funnier with each viewing. I really enjoyed the episode and thought it depicted Arnav and khushi's original character's again, with the added charm of a lovely hug at the end.

Whether or not Khushi's antiques were in line with character, the actual problem is timing of unwarranted comedy. After tolerating Shyamanjali track, audience was expecting some true romantic moments between the couple not this comedy.
Khushi has always been sensitive to other's needs. That is also in line with her character. But in the movie scene she almost was totally clueless about Arnav's pain. May be after some nice moments between newly weds , we would have been more receptive to the comdey track. They have not even shown proper SR.
Both behave as if they have been married for years. So from my point of view, it's more about the timing of these scenes. Also there is no continuity. After Khushi showed Arnav, tickets for English movie they could have shown that. But after that scene, suddenly it's ASR's birthday!
It's kind of confusing.
