Have u lived in Dubai?

Hi IF members,

I've been a member for quite a while now although with work and kids I don't get to post as often as I'd like. But those of u who are on Nimmo, KA and Kasam Se I'm on those forums the most.

Anywaz....I digress....

My hubby and I are thinking of leaving the US for eastern parts of the world...
we used to live in Singapore and it's nice but we'd like some place new....
we are currently looking at Dubai and Malaysia...so i need to get feedback from all of you who live or used to live in these places.

I need to know about what life is like there (it's different when we're a tourist)?

Cost of living?
schools?
Social life?
driving ?traffic?
Cost of homes?


Ofcourse, we're searching the web and doing other research but hearinf it first hand would be lovely!

do u guys love living where u live...I'm in the suburbs of Boston close to Providence...it's a nice quite life ....but being the kid of an expatraite I get the urge to keep travelling and moving...

Lets just say Ek jagah sai dil bhar jata hai...plus I had fun being raised in various countries...and i would love for my kids to have the same diverse upbringing...These days in the US I feel its all become so generic.
