Kajol, Rani Mukerji, Kareena Kapoor and Preity Zinta - these are the leading ladies who have worked with Karan Johar in the past. However when it comes to STUDENT OF THE YEAR, it is a petite Alia Bhatt who would be making her debut. Before stepping into the film, didn't it ever play in the mind of Bhatt scion that she had to fill in some really big shoes here? 😕

'I don't think I, or for that matter any other newcomer, can fill into the shoes of any of them; that is just not possible,' pronto says Alia, 'Come on, they are superstars and I am just a newcomer. I am sure Karan also didn't take me in the film keeping such high standards in mind. I guess as long as I along with Sidharth and Varun manage to at least hold the audience together so that they can watch the film, that's an achievement enough. It would be no less appreciation.'

Still, the fact cannot be denied that for the trio this is as big a launch as it can get. Moreover with someone like Karan Johar, who has never launched a newcomer actor before, behind the film, one can well expect the confidence level amongst the newbie actors to go further up.


'Karan has always said that he trusts his instincts and the very fact that he felt the same for me is something that I have to be grateful for. 🤣 So yes, it is indeed a big deal to be featuring in his film. The expectations are so high that we just can't afford to let Karan down. He has invested so much in us and that's the most nerve wrecking part. We want it to be success not only for us but also for him,' she says.

for karan johars film she was all right i guess...there is an

empty prettiness right now which i would think is due to her

being nineteen only...lets hope she develops depth in her
