Just a word before I begin.. Please read my disclaimer before you start. This is a semi-fun post. Happy reading...
I was thinking what makes Rishabala a perfect couple.. So here is what I think...
Understanding. RK understands Madhu's fears and her devotion and allows her the freedom to do what she wants. Madhu, on the other hand, nudges and prods him in a bid to get him to exorcise the demons of his past. She understands that until he comes to terms with his past he can never be truely free or happy. She does all she call to ensure his happiness.. She says 'I dont like you'. Interestingly she doesnt say I hate you'. Why is that? Bcause she doesnt hate him. She has learnt to appreciate his good qualities.
'Keep away from Madhu' Thats what RK told Dipzy. If he had no feelings for Madhu why did he say that? He was not only afraid of losing Madhu, nut he was also afraid that Madhu will be hurt by the lies about her husband. For the first time that day, RK openly acknowledged his relationship to Madhu. 'Whatever happens I will never forget that Madhu is my wife'. Every relationship starts with acceptance. Yesterday Madhu did the same. 'Be it 4 pheras or 7 pheras, I am his wife.' A couple who mutually acknowledges to 'not liking' each other admitting that they are tied together! That too forever... Whatever happens, however much happens we will always be bound to each other. Others have tried to hit on both of them. Sikky on Madhu and Dipzy on RK.. But they hold true to their relationship.. Cheating each other is a strict No No for this couple!
'If you had no feelings for Bappa, why did you prevent the flame from dying?'
'I dont have to answer all your questions.'
'What were you doing there?'
'I dont have to answer all your questions either.'
Tit for tat.. Both seemed to be satisfied with the answer they got.. Perfect or what?
Yin and Yang. Inspite of all their differences, they still trust each other. In little things and in big things. They will fight, they will shout, but trust is always there. Have you seen the way they look at each other? Both mesmerize the other. They have eyes for no one else when the other is present.
'I will fight with you until I have breadth.' Thats their attitude. In an odd way, their fights helps them bond. Thats what a perfect relationship is.. However much they shout at and irritate each other, they are happy in each other's presence. 'Thank you' said Madhu when RK did his gas and electricity drama. Any other wife would have been irritated. But not Madhu. She enjoys matching her wits with her husband.. And he enjoys playing with her. He puts out the flame and she lights it.. Again and again.. Then comes the explosion! After that he tells her: 'When you are done, come back to me! You belong to me and you will be with me.'
When Madhu went missing, RK searched for her and saved her.. And today was Madhu's turn. This perfect couple had a perfect blood match.. Clunky plot or another example of why they are perfect? Again clunky plot had the perfect superwoman wife going barefoot begging to the Lord for her husband's life.
Not going to talk about their nights and the bed they share, 😳 bcos you all know what I will say about those pillows... 😆
