well I think back then he did not realise that such a time could come wen Shyam would try to gain an entry again nd that too through his di, he saw it as a closure and khushi's character no more remained the issue, remembr even anji continuously said there must have been some sort of misunderstanding nevr blaming khushi. Also I think not revealing the Payash marriage convo wid Shyam was probably a conscious decision on his part, like not telling anyone about the contract wedding thing, cz among other effects if would also make khushi's stance vulnerable, maybe, cz then they would have had to disclose the whole thing and apart frm shyam's end sm would have also probably raised qstions on khushi's character.
I know he is wrong at times, but that is wat I like about him, he is not all good...he did what he had to do to save khushi frm disgrace then, but today nothing was required so he remained silent throughout.
Well, to me, a fundemental characteristic of a good man comes with the amount of respect and support he shows on his spouse. Notice the word 'good'. It comes with his intensions. Whne there is a lack of genuiness and eagerness to support his wife at her hour of need, he fails in the catogory of being 'good'.
I firmly stand on the point that even if he had assumed the troubles were over (which he knew was not because his Di wasn't buying his story and was weeping to have her husband back, Akash and maami were still suspecting Khushi) he could very well have cleared Khushi's name and made his Di see sense. Why keep a doubt in anyone's mind regarding his wife?
My point here is the lack of urgency or the need to prove his wife's innocence. One doesn't have to be the ideal husband to make the rest of the world see the truth. Time and circumstaces doesn';t matter when one's wife's intergrity is at stake and it was pretty much obvious that telling the truth to the family members was the right thing to do.
He could be a flawed character all he wants but, this is something that essentially distinguishes as a husband's responsability.
It goes over my head that he is not at all concerned about proving Khushi's words on that day when Shyam cleverly disproved her. Afterall up till now, Shyam's counter attack was never disproved right? Anyone and everyone can still doubt Khushi becz shyam was clever enough to couner attack her words.
