1) Bold and Caps are against Forum rules...it means screaming...and being rude...so first respect the fellow members.

2) are you the only fan out here...every show and actor has a shelf life...no one is bound...

3) even if he is leaving he is not going to hiberbate or migrate somwhere ,that we are not going to see him...

4) the word UNPROFESSIONAL is being picked up as its in the the title of this post and questions the integrity of the actor we love and who has brought this show immense success

5) his decision to stay or leave can be debatable in a matured context too , than by bashing him - and when the channel has released statement saying he is not leaving, when PH has not released any official statement - why are anyone jumping to conclusion in first place !!!

So it seems like Barun Sobti has finally put down his papers, it was on expected lines as he had never shown much interest nor commitment towards the show during/after shooting of his movie. Even in his interviews he was noncommittal on his association with the show but never shyed away speaking about his Bollywood Dreams..

4 lions is the first production House in the history oftelevisionto give a leave of absence for 11/28/40/45 days a main lead and that too for a romantic drama, Barun did shoot for a few days but the damage to the show was done.

Now when the show is in the doldrums and the TRP is consistently out of Top 10 Barun wants to quit..So Barun is leaving when PH and fans need him the most...The show may not survive his exit at such a precarious moment and even it does it will take a long time for people to accept a new lead...

He once famously said that any one can play ASR, may be you are right and I think PH should definitely look out for your replacement. But would Barun would haveachievedwhat he hasachievedminus ASR...

The answer is not too difficult to guess...

They very show which has given you everything you are leaving behind nothing...

P.S- If you had to leave why do a charity for a few months you should have had made up your mind either way...one is only bound to sink if he/she has two feet on different ships...

I dont know what profession you are in but when you are doing something for living it is not called charity. So if you get a better job with higher pay and you keep condidering the offer not yet sure if to accept it, you still should make a public statement that you may leave after months? I think I would need to unlearn my long work experience & whatever I studied to understand how you define professionalism.

IPK is entertainment for us .. But for the actors it is their profession. Just because he is a star, we need him to tell us what course of action he is considering for his career even when the time is not right? Id he is leaving in December, why should he make it public now further affecting the show response? Would we do the same even with our colleagues? Who are we to judge his commitment to his job?

Let the poor guy make his career decision .. We all would be heart broken if he leaves for a better job but we should be happy for him since it would be a raise in his career. IPK is a show that eventually will end someday .. But Barun Sobti is a man who would need to work his a*s off to earn his leaving doing shows for us & also strive for his aspirations.

If people have already brought it upon themselves to bash Barun, then no matter how much we try to shed light on various facts, realities, possibilities; now that he's become bad for many of you, i.e, of the forum members, there is no turning back!

PS: we are not buying any product here... he is entertaining us with his talent

If we pay for star plus package, its for other serials as well, it totally depends upon us what we wanna watch!

When I go to the boss to get better terms when my contract comes up for renewal, I have to be prepared to be let down. Do I go without a back up plan? Or I have a plan B.\
How are things different here?

Barun has every right to negotiate or leave serial if original contract is over or serving notice period. now all existing tracks are closed, if they drag serial why should Barun stay? Some people are purposely bashing Barun to give him bad publicity.

overnight...things turn upside down in ipk forum... What happened? Did he quit? I saw mishti's spoiler in the morning. But it has not confirmed that he is leaving. damn then...why all this slum fight in the forum. 😕

DKS - Personally i feel this post could have been avoided. You can not assume some things and then deduce such drastic opinion about someone with out knowing the facts. Disagree here. Its kind of being too much judgmental.

He has always been honest...and why do you have to criticise him for the offers he's getting?? He'll quit only if he has no other option...grow up guys...

No PH likes to work with unprofessional ppl, and here many are willing to work with him...that itself shows his professionalism

I am not assuming thinks out of blue.
Even if he gives an official statement about not leaving still the fact that he gave a 2 months notice to the PH for doing a movie will be true.
Both Mishti and Zee did not give false news.He wants to do both the show and the movie at the same time.

All that the edit in the post proves is that we are watching completely different shows, if you believe his performance levels have dipped.

Even Mishti said he's not signed a movie yet - so sailing in two boats? Really?

This post is maligning someone's character and work over an unconfirmed rumour.
