If she really donated blood then its good of her.Presence of movie stars in these campaigns atleast brings these camps and stuffs in the news and is helpful in spreading awareness.

You can make sure that they use a new needle(yes you can ask them to take it out of pack infront of you) and nowadays most of the syringes are such that they can be used only once.I myself have visited such camps being MBBS student and believe me we do make sure of that.😊

No, I understand what you mean. But still, it's way too perilous an endeavor.
