What I LOVED: 26th September 2012
Why did this episode have to end? I mean, is nothing fair in this world!!
Performance
Barun Sobti: How many times does this chap beat his own performance? He had zero dialogs today (barring once when he said Khushi). And he's ROCKED it! Absolute, flawless, perfect!
Without a single spoken word, Arnav makes the fandom cry and feel his pain.
Sanaya Irani: Outstanding! Took my heart away, girl! Totally. That was SO FAB! It was so gripping!
LOVED Pyumori Mehta: Mind-blowing performance.
Team: LOVED the episode through & through; Khushi's dialogs, Arnav's setting – sitting among the blue lights; LOVED LOVED LOVED!
Progress Points
1. Dadi ji announces Arnav won't come; Khushi stays put trusting Arnav to come
2. Khushi waits and hopes – then, hope dwindles
3. Arnav torn between past and Khushi
Favorite Scene
The whole thing!!
Arnav & Khushi
Dead. Captured. Torn.
Yet, surprise! Still together.
Arnav
For the first time in his life, he found something brought him happiness; someone became all his happiness. He found love and trust. He found someone who didn't think twice before putting herself in extreme danger for him. He found his Khushi.
Before this time, his life had been all darkness.
Now, as he prepares to step out into the light, the darkness pulls him back. Arnav is helpless.
He remembers the moments when Khushi would talk about leaving. He cannot bear the thought. When she had said those things, Arnav remembers he'd asked her to stop her every time.
He remembers she said: I wouldn't fall in your trap again. I will slip from your fingers as the sand and the moment I get a chance, I'll run away, and you would not be able to find me.
He still cannot bear that and calls her name, as though to stop her.
It seems as though for a brief moment, he'd decided to return to Khushi; it seemed that there was almost a small smile on his face.
And then the darkness of his past calls him back.
Could he even think of spending his life with a woman who would forever remind him of his dead mother, and the reason she died?
The woman was the daughter of the one whom he hates, the one who wrecked his life, his family, his home, and his future – could he be married with her daughter?
His heart is crushed and wrenched inside him. He doesn't know which way to turn. Whatever, he chooses, he chooses pain. He cannot choose to be unfair to the injustice his mother suffered. He cannot choose to live without Khushi – else he cannot breathe.
Khushi
She fights.
She trusts.
She waits.
She hopes.
Slowly she breaks.
She loved the bangles he gave her.
Some of them broke.
She doesn't let others put out the fire.
The fire goes off on its own.
Does her trust break?
Does her hope die?
She loses consciousness, but comes to again.
The family around her looks hopeless and broken.
She is full of faith, she announces that he would come when everyone else thinks he would not.
She tells them this is a test of their love, and she trusts him to come. He promised her.
Her family tells her to let go.
She holds on to her hope.
She gives them hope.
And then her hope dwindles, she turns to her family for hope.
She gets none.
He said – if I let go of your hand once, I would never hold it again.
No, no! He was just kidding.
He would come.
But if he doesn't come, what will I do?
She is shaken to her very core – as though she's lost him, and if she has, she cannot breathe.
Recollections
For some reason, these memories swam to the fore…
~*~
Arnav had just discovered how much Khushi loved him when she turned up at the kidnappers' hideout, putting her life and honor in danger. He believed her and didn't hesitate to show her that he too loved her.
Khushi was afraid of the dark, and Arnav brought her a jar of fireflies – which gave them light for a few happy moments, before they flew out of the window. Arnav was worried that she'd be afraid again, but Khushi told him that she wasn't afraid anymore because he was with her.
They had barely had a few moments together, when kidnappers came calling.
Arnav tried that Khushi would leave him and go. Khushi refused to budge – and boldly stated that she'd stay with him. Arnav knew that she would not leave him. He hurt her and hid her under stacks of hay, and kissed his love goodbye.
Arnav gave himself to the captors, in the hope that Khushi would be free. He'd rather be hurt himself than let her be in any danger from his captors.
Khushi Dead. Arnav Captive.
Separated? No.

"5. Arnav said 'Bye' to Khushi
Khushi did not say 'Bye'.
…
Literally & symbolically, Khushi seems to be getting distanced from Arnav. Yet, she did not say 'bye'.
Literally & symbolically, Arnav never lets her go, goes after her and brings her back. Yet he said 'bye'."
~*~
Arnav is forcing his way through to Khushi. If there is no way, he invents one!
Returning

4. Anjali returns the ring to Arnav, and he thanks her.
~*~
Anjali was worried that Arnav was out of reach – there was no contact. She decided to call the police. Shyam panicked. He told his men to let Arnav call home.
Arnav spoke to his family. He told Khushi he loved her.
The distance remained, but he'd told her.
~*~
Arnav let himself be caught once more - a second time.
He'd had to hurt Khushi to set her free. Yet, it was his head that bled at Shyam's feet.
Khushi didn't give up after Arnav left her hidden in haystack, but her resources came to an end. She'd reached a dead end. She sought help.
Khushi found blood on Shyam's shoes and then began her quest to hunt Arnav down via Shyam.
Arnav never saw Shyam until Khushi showed him – right in RM.
Dadi Ji: Is that a win?
Whatever it is that she wanted to do – yes, she's done it. Though, what she achieved out of it is a pretty big vacuum. And if that makes her happy, then she's probably happy about it.
Though it beats me!
How bitter does one have to be to do exactly and more than what was done to her – allegedly, by Garima?
She holds her son innocent. And for him, she wrecks the life of his son.
How does that make her happy?
If destruction of Garima does make her happy, how does she expect to live in peace seeing Arnav shattered as a consequence of that destruction?
Dadi ji had a facade running that she called a household. She knew her son was doing something wrong because she says she attempted to correct him. As per her, her daughter-in-law wasn't good enough to hold her family in place. Yet, when an external factor becomes a cause for ruining her household – she blames it.
So, what she is avenging is – the destruction of a facade?
So can she now rest in peace? Is her peace worth this?
Others
1. Payal is holding up her sister and her mother. Bravo!!
2. Akash, one good yelling from his wife seems to have worked a bit.
First, he nearly went out to support Garima as she collapsed to the ground.
Next, he got water for Khushi.
Then, he comforted Nani Ji.
3. Nani ji is solely focused on how Arnav might be able to bear it. She knows how hard it may be for him.
4. NK!! You SURE ROCK!
Thanks for putting a stopper on Mami Jaan and pointing her to an area of need.
5. Garima: she's broken. Even though her family believes her and she's forgiven, yet – seeing Khushi in the state that she is – is killing Garima. She knew that Khushi would not be able to live without Arnav, and she is right.
Khushi was not able to live without Arnav even when they were at loggerheads. Now, it is not possible.
6. Shashi is such a man of honor. Respect!!
7. LOVED Bua ji's support and care for Garima.
8. Anjali: Why is this happening?
If you stop crying long enough and clean your eyes, you might see the reason sitting right beside you. Hint – he is wearing bright red.
