Absolutely.. I agree with all of you. I watched the final episode and was just aghast at the way it was carried out. A situation of injustice and prejudice was happening in front of the most successful businessmen of our country and yet none of them dared to rise to the occasion? Not even one person raised his voice against bringing Irfan into the contest.
The entire episode has left me wondering whether our top entrepreneurs are just a bunch of fools? Don't they have the mighty power to rise to the occasion and fight for the rights of a person?
However, on the other hand, we are now an educated audience and we know that what we see on screen is not what really happens. It may have been a different stage drama altogether from what was being telecast. I'm pretty sure there must have been opposition from the live audience.
To prove that, when the audience was asked to place their votes for who they feel should be fit enough to be a BB, they voted Puneet. If you had taken note, Irfan received the least number of votes. Yet he was declared winner?
So what were the judges thinking?? I can't agree to the fact that the judges were better in their thinking than the live audience.
Also, if we were to compare the business proposals of all three final contestants, I found Ali's idea most lucrative. Even Puneet's idea was very environmental friendly as well as innovative. Irfan's idea was innovative too however i don't foresee as much profits in terms of real money as i see in other two ideas.
Ali's idea of having a monopoly over the fibre optic cables should prove to bring in big moolah simply because this is how it is happening in other countries. In Singapore, we've got Starhub which provides cable channels from all over the world, internet broadband services, landline services, fax services and many more. It is highly successful and the services are of premium quality. Moreover, since it is a monopoly, it is able to invest large sum of money to constantly re-invent their services and provide better customre care and technical support to each client. We need similar services in India. Not only will it create more jobs for the Indians but also provide excellent and efficient services to consumers.
Puneet's idea will serve our country in a different manner from Ali's. Therefore, it's pretty difficult to judge them on the same grounds. Puneet, with his venture, will be able to eradicate collective junk on the corners of our street and recycly them to produce something usable again. Again, this will create lot of job opportunities for our people as well as make consumers more aware about their environment. Conscious efforts will be roped in from all parts of the country to gather the plastic and transform it into something which we'd all love to use. Imagine: - even the rest of the world will loook up to us and we might get contracts from all over the world. It's a universal theme project. Yes, I'm aware such projects are carried out in various parts of the world. But that doesnt mean that the industry has reached it's saturation point. Infact, the pioneers of this industry have shown us the path that our country should follow.
Now for Irfan, it's very subjective to the Indian market. It'll create the least number of jobs for Indians (out of the 3 proposals) and the appeal is also not to the great extent. Yes, his idea is indeed innovative : - to transform the regular rickshaw into a state of art high-tech rickshaw but how much difference would it make to my life? or rather the rickshaw patrons' life? A rickshaw ride lasts approximately 10 mins the most. Maybe it can be used to attract tourists. Tour groups can be arranged where a tourist takes a ride in this state of the art rickshaw and is taken around a pre-determined route like the India gate etc. But it can't be possible in every housing estate.
It is such a pity that a common girl like me and other forum members can think in such a manner but not the highly-successful jury panel of BB. Neverthless, my wishes are with all the contestants. All of them have appealing projects and we desperately need them to be kickstarted ASAP. Their ventures will only add feathers to our existing booming economy.
