i am making this post to know more about shiva's children.
we know of kartikeya, even ganesh is said to be his child ( it's said parvati created him) but are there regional stories of his other children?
in my part of india, the snake goddess manasha is his daughter. shiva created manasha somehow and seeing her loneliness and grief, created another daughter neto/neti to keep manasha company.

now, are there any similar stories in other parts of india?

I am sorry if this myth is wrong but I know that there is a female roop of Vishnu and it is Mohini. During Samudra Manthan, Vishnu takes this female avatar to save the honey from the demons and Shiv was really attracted to Mohini, because of her beauty. They had a child whose name is Ayappan.

@aastha he didnt exactly fall in love with Mohini

he and Mohini had to have ayyapan beacuse one asur very smartly asked that his death should be by the son of Mahadev and Vishnu-hence Mohini(an avatar of Vishnu) and Shiva had to have a child,so it was more a need of the hour over anything else!

but in my opinion many folklore's have sensationalized the story far too much-TOO MUCH😆,and made it sound like he fell in love with Mohini and all those things!

Mohni did emerge during the Samdura Manthan-but she was more like a form rather than an avatar of Vishnu meant to be taken when needed
and the Ayyapan incident happened much later!

its a myth of Bengal...and Manasha's story is related with Behula-Lakhindar as described in Manasamangal..but i wonder i never found Manasa's mention in any other story except Chanda saudagar-Lakhindar-Behula

that's why i doubt its only created by the authors of Manasamangal...

there are abt 8 authors of manashamangal. i read that in class 11.
mansha is also mentioned in mahabharat as vasuki's sister, in a different name.
there is another theory of manasha being a adaptation of the tribal goddess manchamma during the early middle ages.
in my ancestral village, manasha used to be worshipped in a big way.
