MJHT 4TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

The story begins with sisters Nupur and Gunjan Bhushan coming from rural Morena to Mumbai to join Excel College. They are cousins to "Queen Bee" Diya and Uday. Diya, horrified by news of their arrival to Excel aside her, does everything in her power to make their lives miserable, to no avail. These pranks introduce Samrat, lead athlete and college star, and his close friend Benji as friends of Diya.

During this period, we learn about the personality of each lead characters. Nupur begins college by receiving Mayank as a project partner and Gunjan gets pushed into a talent parade by Samrat, coordinated by Diya. Through tiffs, a dance number, and a series of misadventures; Mayank falls in love with Nupur and becomes friends with Samrat. Samrat having helped Gunjan blossom, mutually call each other a dear friend after restoring honesty. Time passes and Gunjan misinterprets subtleties from Samrat and begins to knowingly harbor unstated love for Samrat just as he clarifies Gunjan to be his closest friend.

After Gunjan's emotional discovery, a new character, Sheena, talented actress and bombshell, enters Excel to be part of the traditional college play. Ranvijay; a daredevil, arrogant, bad boy; who breaks all limits to see things his way, makes an entry as well. Sheena finds Samrat attractive and Samrat initiates a serious relationship with her while Ranvijay attempts to take advantage of Diya, to Samrat's hatred. Gunjan, on the other hand, consistently reiterates to Samrat, wanting the best for him, that Sheena, his girlfriend, will not allow their unique friendship to continue. Gunjan states in defense, love is bigger than friendship and Samrat reluctantly agrees. The play progresses where Mayank dramatically confesses his love for Nupur on stage, starting their secret relationship. At a subsequent party, Sheena, knowing Gunjan's feelings, shows her true colors by trying to accuse Gunjan of shoving her into the pool because of her unrequited love for Samrat, ending disasterously, as Samrat is assured by Gunjan's eyes, a friend, she was innocent. Samrat and Sheena break up; however, Ranvijay, for revenge of a fight, frames Samrat for drunken driving when leaving from that very party. The gang proves otherwise, in court, and both Sheena and Ranvijay leave the plot. During the brief time spent in jail, Samrat realizes his intense love for Gunjan because of others' remarks. Later, Gunjan, sensing a change in Samrat, believes she has now expressed herself, and through a series of unfortunate circumstances neither communicates their feelings leading each to continually consider themselves solely as friends. At this point, both sisters are hurting from relationship difficulties, thus immediately take leave from Excel for a family wedding in Morena.

After the sisters leave, the gang feels very lonely and pursues them. Samrat reveals to Diya, Benji and Uday that he deeply loves Gunjan and they help him by leaving Mumbai with one goal, to tell Gunjan about his love, and Mayank, to win his Nupur back as he was furious at Nupur thinking she told Uday, Benji and Diya about their relationship but they actually found out themselves. Mayank enters pretending to be Nupur's childhood friend, who her family wants her to marry while Samrat comes with Benji as Dia and Uday's friends. Gunjan and Nupur's father and aunt develop a negative opinion about Mayank in finding out he is an imposter. Gunjan and Nupur's aunt don't like Samrat for his disruption during a family prayer but their father very much likes him and is impressed by his responsibility and independence. But when promising to commit to Nupur, Mayank comes to know that his mother has lost her job and has to return home without seeing anyone so Nupur assumes he broke up with her. Samrat finally expresses his love to Gunjan on the night of Dusshera, and all return to Mumbai.

In Mumbai, the gang sorts out the differences between Nupur and Mayank with the help of Samrat's plan. After assuring Nupur of his love and commitment, Mayank goes with his mother to Bangalore, where she gets a new job. Nupur's family decide to get her married by sending the match to college. The match turns out to be Adhiraj, Nupur's childhood friend. Adhiraj in search of Nupur is mistaken when he finds another girl named Nupur. The gang takes advantage of this and makes the new Nupur into Nupur Bhushan who Adhiraj starts to fall in love with. All backfires when it is revealed that the new Nupur is Samrat's younger sister Suhani Shergill. Samrat had lived all his life alone as his parents divorced when he was a child and Suhani used to live in London with their mother, because of this Samrat assumed his mom chose his sister over him and grew up hating both of them. Mayank returns to surprise his friends and learns of what the gang has been up to and convinces them to tell Adhiraj the truth about Nupur and tell Samrat about Suhani. With a big basketball game going on that Adhiraj and Samrat are taking part in, the gang decide to tell them the truth after the game. Samrat and Adhiraj clash for control of the basketball team and at the end of the game put their differences aside for the team. At the after party Samrat gets hurt and learns the truth about Suhani which leads to Adhiraj also learning the truth. Nupur is then forced into marrying Adhiraj, who consents to the marriage in anger of Suhani's betrayal. Mayank reveals to Adhiraj that the gang played this prank on him because Nupur loves Mayank and he also convinces Adhiraj that Suhani really is in love with him. Adhiraj decides to call off the wedding, but before he can tell his father he is knocked out by Uday so Mayank reluctantly replaces Adhiraj before the wedding ceremony. Though Mayank is caught by Nupur's father and the wedding was to go on as planned, Adhiraj's father finds out about Nupur and Mayank, so he calls off the wedding. After the humiliation, Nupur's father agrees to Mayank and Nupur's marriage. They get married, but Nupur's father disowns her afterward as he has been betrayed and humiliated. With nowhere to go, the couple turn to the gang for help settling their new life.

Gunjan and Nupur start to drift apart because Nupur is upset that Gunjan is supporting her father and she starts to not trust Samrat as a good boy for Gunjan. After they reconcile Gunjan is led to believe that Samrat is going to propose to her on Valentine's Day, but he was actually helping Adhiraj to propose to Suhani. Gunjan becomes upset with Samrat, and she leaves the Valentine's Day party alone. Outside Gunjan gets cornered by a group of guys with a gun, Adhiraj tries to save her but she is shot and he gets knocked out. Gunjan goes into a coma and when she wakes up she finds herself paralysed. At the hospital Nupur's father decides to forgive Nupur and he starts to suspect that Samrat loves Gunjan. He later tells Gunjan he approves of Samrat but Gunjan assures him that there is nothing between her and Samrat, because she doesn't want to be a burden to Samrat as she cannot walk any more. The culprit of Gunjan's accident happens to be the brother of a well-known politician. Nupur successfully battles the corrupted politicians to get the wrongdoers arrested and becomes the role model of Excel College. After this the gang go on a vacation with the purpose of helping Gunjan walk again, they devise a plan to put Samrat in danger and when he really does end up in danger Gunjan stands on her legs and runs to save him. At the vacation resort, Benji starts to like Diya when she hugs him for protection when she sees Uday dressed up as a ghost with a knife in his hands.

The gang return home where as a prank, a baby girl enters the life of Samrat, Mayank, Benji, Adhiraj, and Uday with a letter that falsely claims the baby's father is one of them. All the girls are angry at the boys and become against them. After a series of mishaps the truth is revealed that none of them are the father of the child and that they were on a reality show. Suhani breaks the news that she has to return to London. Hearing this Adhiraj is heartbroken but the guys give him the idea to pretend to break up with her and surprise her by going with her to London to get married. The gang is sad to see their friends go but decide that life is about change and this change was bound to happen.

A famous director, Neel Oberoi, comes to college for auditions; he's an old friend of Nupur and Gunjan and has a soft spot for Gunjan. Their growing closeness makes Samrat overprotective and this results in a tiff between them. Gunjan learns that Neel is in love with her by looking at his laptop and reconciles with Samrat. Mayank and Nupur enroll for the same job scholarship and Nupur wins it. It is shown that Diya also likes Benji and they both hide their feelings from each other, saying that they're just friends, while Uday is suspecting their love. Mayank and Nupur split after a row, and Nupur goes to Delhi. Later they sort out their differences and retake their wedding vows. Samrat proposes to Gunjan and she accepts; they get engaged. Benji also reveals his love to Dia and she happily reveals she feels the same. Mayank and Nupur decide to go to U.S.A. As Nupur, Gunjan, Mayank and Samrat head to the airport they face a terrible car accident.

The story takes a leap of three years starting a new season where new characters enter. Nupur died in the car accident. Samrat, trustee of Excel College, starts living a disturbed and lonely life and keeps remembering Gunjan who left him after his careless driving killed her sister. Mayank, on the other hand, lives with the illusion of having Nupur with him. Mayank gets an offer for the post of professor in Excel College; first he doesn't want to but eventually joins. He has not forgiven Samrat for his reckless driving. Gunjan lives her life as a caretaker at an orphanage and as a student counselor. All three of them grieve for the loss of Nupur.

Ashwini is an orphaned girl who has problems in her life and is counseled by Gunjan. On her advice she takes admission in Excel College as a student and clashes with Rohan, a new student.Ash liked Samrat but after she gets to know that Samrat and Gunjan still love each other, she leaves them alone. Rohan liked Ash and they eventually fall in love. Ria, who is Rohan's sister, clashes with Nirbhay.Mayank gives Gunjan an option of joining Excel Collage. First she refuses but ultimately she joins it. Meanwhile Mayank forgives Samrat as he realizes that he was also somehow responsible for the accident. They both then started to try to convince Gunjan to forgive Samrat. Dia returns and tells Mayank that she has been has having weird realizations and dreams about Nupur. On Dia's behest, Mayank and Dia go to the doctor that treated Nupur and find out that there had been a mix up the on the day of accident and Nupur might be alive. After a search, Mayank and Nupur come face to face. He tells everyone that Nupur is alive but no one was ready to believe him. Mayank gets into a minor car accident, and Nupur takes him to hospital. Nupur signs the form to start the operation where she says that she's Mayank's wife. Eventually, Mayank, Gunjan and Samrat finds her but Nupur refuses to recognize them and treats them rudely. After that she comes to their house to say them sorry but they say that if she really wants their apology so she has to stay with them for seven days. She agrees. In these seven days, Mayank tries to come close to Nupur but everytime he comes close to her, a phone call comes to her and she gets nervous. Later, Mayank, Gunjan and Samrat realize Nupur had memory loss in the accident and doesn't remember them.

After a couple of series, Dhruv, Nupur's fianc, enters. He was the one who used to call Nupur. Dhruv used to treat Nupur very badly and abused her. Gunjan suspects Dhruv to be their psychotic childhood friend from school, Chintu (who had a crush on Nupur and went crazy for her and was admitted to a mental hospital). It was revealed that Nupur was just pretending not to recognize them because she is afraid of Dhruv who was possessive of her and frequently abused her and she was actually the real Nupur.After a series of mishaps, Samrat gets to know about the truth of Nupur.It is also revealed that Dhruv was the root cause of the car accident, three years earlier, in which he tried to kill Mayank, Samrat and Gunjan, which supposedly killed Nupur. Samrat then wanted to tell this truth to Mayank and Gunjan but couldn't because Nupur had told him not to tell anyone about this truth otherwise Dhruv will kill all three of them so Samrat thought of a plan. He sent Mayank to Gunjan's house as Nupur was already there to meet Gunjan. He then talked to Nupur and asked Nupur so many questions which led Nupur to tell him the truth. Eveyone was very excited that Nupur is back.

Things come to boiling point when Dhruv tries to kill Nupur but he is caught red- handed and arrested by the police, with the help of Samrat. Mayank and Nupur reunite after three years as well as Samrat and Gunjan. Nupur re-joins Excel College as a student to complete her studies. At first she was very angry with Mayank about not allowing her to be a teacher but later she agrees. Mayank was very angry from Nupur because even at home at their time of romance, she was doing combined study with Rohan and Ashwini so he gives them a test where Nupur makes chits but didn't cheated, but unfortunately Mayank finds the chits from her geometry box and thinks that she cheated in the test so that's why she scored the highest in the test.

Meanwhile Samrat quits from his job of trustee in Excel and wants to play basketball but he didn't tell this to Gunjan who wants him to study more, so Samrat starts to teach basketball to girls. Ash also takes part in it. Samrat gets angry from her that why is she playing basketball instead of going to collage so she gives Nupur a letter of taking taking a leave early from collage which has to be signed by Mayank but Mayank doesn't signs it as he was angry from Nupur. Ash had to get it signed somehow so she copies Mayank's signature and signs the letter. Mayank thinks that this is also done by Nupur so, as a punishment, Mayank rusticates Nupur from the collage. But when Ash gets to know about this, she tells Mayank the truth. Mayank felt sorry about this and apologizes to Nupur but she didn't accept it. On the other hand, Gunjan gets to know that Samrat is secretly couching basketball and gets angry with him.

Now, the sisters were angry from the boys and they were continuously trying persuading but they were not forgiving them. Finally, after some days, Mayank finally convinced Nupur by saying that today Mayank saw Nupur the first time and she finally forgave him and they got normal. But Gunjan was still not forgiving Samrat as Mayank and Nupur didn't tell anyone that they've patched up. Uday came back with an uncle who was faint and had a lottery but Uday told everyone that he's dead and is having a lottery so everyone worked together to take the lottery and give it to the Uncle's family. While doing this drama, Nupur uttered that they are together again and Samrat and Gunjan were astonished.

Nupur finds out that she is pregnant and decides to hide it. Samrat finds Nupur's pregnancy strip and confronts her, and Nupur reveals her pregnancy. Samrat proposes to Gunjan and she accepts. They have a church wedding: a lifelong dream of Gunjan. Dia, Uday and Benji return to the show for the wedding. After the ceremony everyone goes to Pune. There, Nupur goes into labour, and they go back to Excel. She gives birth to male twins.
