A special request to BV creator team

I am very new in IF. But i have watched the show Balika Vadhu from very begining. I am watching only one daily soap and that is Balika vadhu.Although the telecast time of the show is 8.00 pm which is not matched with my office schedule but i always watch either the repeat telecast or on you tube.I liked the show very much bcoz i think this is the only show which is focusing only on the various type of issues related to our society.

If we think very minutely we can understand that the bv creator team never ever think about their TRP like the other show makers.From the very begining they are stick to their aim to create this show.Their main aim was to focus on the different kind of social issues .It may be the evil site of bal vivah,re-marriage of the widow etc.

Recently they are focussing on the the re-marriage of a divorcee that is anandi. They are showing that even a divorcee girl may deserve a bachouler collector .I think that will give a very positive signal to our society.SO BV ROCKS ...KEEP IT UP...WE ARE WITH YOU.

I want to share some information about the job of a collector .Because what ever i have noticed that most of the forum member have no clear idea about the job responsibilities of a collector in india.

a.JOB Responsilities of a Collector(ZILLADHISH) in India:-A collector is a person who is responsible to take any kind of legal ,financial and administratative decision for a district. He is doing his job with the help of the Commissioner of police and the revenue officer of a district.

b.THE CADIDATEs who are chosen for the post of collector:-The collectors are chosen by the Central govt. and are employeed by the state Govt.They are chosen by the examination under the supervision of UPSC.The total entrance examnation procedure is one of the toughest procedure of the world.Only a few of candidates out of thousands of applicants are chosen all over the india for various type of posts .The collector are those who are getting the higher most ranking in the examination.(If you minutely watch the show you can remember that in one episode shiv was telling to himself that he got the highest rank in the entrance exem).Their are many parameter to crack the entrance exem.The candidate have to have a very high profile academic carrer,they have to know many other extra curriculum activities like horse riding etc,They have to be very much strong ,intelligent practical and reasonable in nature.Because they have to prove themselves in a very tough personality and reasoning test. Most of the candidates could not crack this stage.

c.WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN IAS AND THE POLITICAL LEADERS LIKE MLA,MP

AND EVEN MINISTERS:- An IAS is a person who is selected by the govt. of india to execute the different kind of administratative activities in a district. They are responsible to execute or implement any kind of legal, financial and administrative rules and regulation passed by the govt of india.They have to lead a very low profile public relationship. Even an honest collector have no right to take any gifts from a civilian. They are facilitated by the govt for procuring each and every commodities and facilities needed in their life.I think that is the main reason for which in balika vadhu it was shown that the collector Shiv is very reluctant to take any gifts from dadisa or his family.

On the other hand a political leader (Sarpanch ,MLA,MP or Minister) are chosen by the people .They are basically the representative of the general public.Obviously they have to maintain a high profile public relationship to maintain their job responsibilities.That is why we are more accustomed with them.But they have no authority to implement any kind of legal,financial and administrative laws, rules and reagulations for a district or for a state.

For exemple:- In bv Shivraj was implemented a rule in jetsar that is whenever any marriage will be happened in jetsar the age of the couple should be mentioned in the invitation card.But anandi or heth singh have no right to implement such kind of rules or regulation. Although both of them are very much powerful and popular.

D.Actual situation :-Unfortunately in india people are corrupted. The most intelligent people are becoming the ias ofiicer and using their authority in a bad manner. They are regulated by the local politician like MLA,MP or ministers, take bribe from the general public.

HATS OFF TO THE BV CREATOR TEAM THAT THEY ARE CREATING AN CHARACTER LIKE MR. SHIVRAJ SHEKHER WHO IS SUCH AN HONEST AND REASONABLE COLLECTOR OF JETSAR.

SO MY REQUEST TO CV THE YOU SHOULD FOCUS A LITTLE ON THE CAREER OF AN IAS OFFICIER, HIS PROBLEMS, RESPONSIBILITIES ECT.

Because in india although we know that a collector is a very prestigious and authoritative post.But we actually do not know what is their actual job responsibilities.

Nandita - thank you for a very educational and informative post. I agree...they should explore the dynamics of Political Post vis a vis a public service administrative post of Collector at some point. Their divergent objectives and mandates would make for interesting but cerebral conflicts btwn AnSh that they sort out maturely...but, it would require a lot of nuanced writing that maybe difficult to balance with drama...that said, I am sure they gave a lot of thought to story ahead before making Shiv a Collector...so, they may well already have planned to explore these things later... btw in the West, even politicians have to disclose donations and gifts and are discouraged to accept them...

Very well said. I have 3 brothers who competed UPSC and currently they IAS, IFS and income tax commissioner. There is honesty running in our family because we are from freedom fighter family.

I want Anandi to compete IAS too.
