Raat hamari toh chand ki saheli hai

Kitne dinon ke baad

Aayi who akeli hai

Sanjha ki baati bhi, koi bujha de aaj

Andherey se ji bhar ke karni hai batey aaj

Andhera rutha hai, andhera laitha hai

Gum sum sa, koney mein baitha hai

Andhera pagal hai, kitna ghamera hai

Chubhta hai, dasta hai, phir bhi woh mera hai

Uski hi godi mein sar rakhke sona hai

Uski hi bahon me chup ke se rona hai

Ankhon se kajal ban baheta andhera aaj

Raat hamari toh chand ki saheli hai

Kitne dinon ke baad …

(OST – Parineeta)

I just cannot believe it. I disown Rano as my Powerpuff girl. If this is the type of Powerpuff girl that she is, then I think I can do without. What the hell was she doing with everybody else when they all marched into Bani's room to kick her out of the house? Ok, I agree maybe she could not overlook the tyranny of her m-i-l and other members of the house, but she could at least have felt apologetic and sad, like Raashi. Why do I have this feeling that its just because of her own selfish motives that she is becoming cold to her sisters? Cold towards Bani, who has probably given up most of her desires to fulfill her sisters wishes. Cold because she wants to save her marriage and doesn't want any sort of furore to be created in the house. See, its nobody's fault that she married a spineless man, but it has been her choice completely, and Bnai had warned her in no uncertain terms about the likely result of this alliance. I am very disappointed and sad. Its ok that she doesn't say anything when the elders are talking with Bani, but she could at least have stayed behind to have a word with her.

Now, who in the Earth gave the entire family the right to convince Bani to leave the Walia House? Last time we checked the house was still Jai's and it was his decision whether to allow or disallow Bani from staying in the House. Mausi also disappointed me a lot. Bani is right, Mausi is only interested in Munna's welfare and that is plain understandable. But, have they ever tried to fathom her hurt, her feelings, her emotions at all? Just as Mausi is worried abt Jai's future, similarly Bani is worried about her unborn child's future, simple logic. And couldn't have Mausi spoken to Bani once again in private. Who gave them rights to judge Jai and Bani's life? And Mausi, says that she understands everything, and then she goes to the extent of offering to pack Bani's belongings. OMG, how can people be so horrible? Just because today Bani is all alone and there is nobody to stand beside her. Bani didn't want to hurt anybody, her deepest insecurities came to the fore when she said that if she went away, all of them would divide Jai's property among themselves and lead a secure life.

And then there's a roar and the King of the House makes a dramatic entrance. And he goes to the extent of raising his hand to slap his wife!!!!! Bravo Jai, only you could have done it. Come to think of it, if a single negative dialogue against his loved ones have evoked such a response from him, is it unreasonable on Bani's side to decide to end their relationship after the Park Road secret came to light? After all, she was dealing with her mother's death. Hypocrisy is the keyword over here or what? If there is no explanation for other's behaviour in the house, then there is no other explanation for Bani's behaviour too. Again Jai, you reacted to the situation. Now, we can assume to a certain level why Bani is hiding the truth from Jai before finding out everything about is.

One of the most beautiful and memorable scene of Kasamh Se, not worth a miss dears. Must watch!!!! And I forgive Jai nearly everything for all the beautiful things he told his child about his relation with the child's mother, all the while keeping his hand over Bani's stomach. He tells that he is unaware of whether he will have a son or a daughter but he is glad that the baby will have Bani as his/ her mother and will imbibe all Bani's qualities like integrity, honesty, selflessness and willingness to endure all hardships for the welfare of her loved ones. He also mentioned that he would love the baby to have Bani's eyes so that they would reflect the true feelings of the soul and there would be nothing to hide in them, so much so that if there is anger reflected on those eyes, it would also show the helplessness lying dormant behind the lurking anger.

Jai goes on to tell the child that when he met his wife there was no love between them and he is not aware as to whether love later developed between them. He is till not sure whether love exists between them, but that they share a unique relationship where they are able to understand each other by the untold for words and their actions. Yes, they tended to each other's wounds during difficult times, but probably that is what love is all about. He goes on to tell the child that (s)he was not conceived out of love but was the result of the final communion of two souls (I forgive you mainly for this realization Jai but still you raised your hand). He further tells the baby that his/ her father cannot promise whether he would be with the baby's mother once it was born, but that he could promise that at least the child would be proud of being born of such a wonderful mother who has lived her life for others and similarly she will live for you.

A very power-packed scene. Must watch for both Ram and Prachi. While Jai for once got a chance to let go off his emotions, Bani is a mute silent spectator all through but oh! Lord, what expressions. Tears streaming down from both their eyes, further binding them together in their pain and helplessness, the love skimming near the surface of their tears but still managing to hold fort. Excellent. What the hell I have tears in my eyes because of a serial? WHAT THE HELL, I don't care even.

Prior to this, the scene where Jai raises his hand to slap Bani when she was being cheeky with Mausi was also beautifully done. The creatives have done their job beautifully, must say! The change in expressions that both Jai and Bani undergoes in that split few seconds is amazing, Jai's anger, then awkwardness, then realization and finally his apology; Bani's subtle fear, anxiety, astonishment, helplessness and acceptance of apology. No wonder these two have such a mind-boggling chemistry, you see one such power scene, feel like a voyeur and then you know. Jai realizes his mistake and tells her that she can stay in this house because it is also hers. He then turns around and folds his hands in front of Mausi and asks for her forgiveness for Bani's fault and requests Mausi to forgive her considering it as a mistake. I really cannot believe that this is the Jai Walia we had started with and marvel at how far this man had traveled and all because of love. Really what power love has over us, mere mortals. In fact, we should all be thankful to Bani for helping Jai metamorphose into a better human being. If she had not indulged him in her love, probably we would not have seen this Jai Walia – the husband, the lover and the father. Simply awesome.

After Jai leaves, everybody follows him out of the room leaving a shattered Bani behind. Bani sits down on the bed and cries her heart out when she feels a reassuring hand on her shoulder. It is none other than Raashi whose heart is breaking on seeing these two suffer and burn so much. Bani confides to her that she is unable to do all these any further since she is hurting all her loved ones, but Raashi asks her not to lose courage and leave the battle half-way. She gives Bani a file which contains legal papers stating that if Jai and Bani's divorce turns out to be a fake, then all assets, properties and business would be transferred to Ranveer. Bani eyes light up with passion once again and she determinedly tells Raashi that she won't desert the cause midway and will definitely go for the divorce, as this was the only way to save Jai. Good for you Raashi at least you are on my poor hunnybunny's side.

Another touching scene was when Bani comes to meet Jai in his room and tells him that she won't leave the Walia Hosue then, and Jai keeps on standing near the window as if in daze, staring outside. When Bani calls him again and demands his attention, he turns back and starts, looks at her with stormy eyes, another eye-locking session ensues and he starts moving towards Bani, Bani hits a panic button and starts moving backward only to be stopped in her tracks by the cupboard. Jai keeps on following her till she stops and then we have that lovely scene where he nearly closes onto her and then keeps his hand on her stomach lovingly. After the entire session of speaking to the child is over, Jai slowly moves way and the walks to the centre of the room, tears rolling down uncontrollably. Bani looks at him for some time helplessly and then she turns and quietly leaves the room. Outside the room, she lovingly looks down at her tummy and places her hand over it, just as Jai had done a few seconds back and looks disconsolate.

A super-duper episode, with great performances by Ram and Prachi, don't miss it for anything in the world. The way Ram's fingers shake when he is about to place his hand over his wife's stomach and the way Prachi struggles to keep her emotions and tears under check, feeling each and every word uttered by Jai, is unbelievable. A big applause to both of them.

Have written haphazardly without making much sense. Deliberately left P-P out, doesn't make sense to mar something so beautiful by mentioning those idiots.

First, Sangs...I love the font you use for your analysis!

Secondly, your choice of songs are amazing. This song is from one of my favourite movies till date, Parineeta, and I had mentioned somewhere earlier, that I see a lot of Shekhar's character in Jai and a lot of Lolita's character in Bani!

Thirdly, I love you analysis yaar! Even though the last scene overpowered everything else, the first scene where Jai comes and lifts his hand to hit Bani and then the way he stares at her face, and his expression softens and then his eyes get moist and he tells her with his quiet, gentle authority that, yes, it is her house and no one can tell her to leave this and then turns to face Massi and with folded hands, apologizes on behalf of Bani!

I mean just look at the man, is this the same Jai Walia we knew a few months back, who leave aside apologizing, but didn't even feel guilty about abusing and throwing Bani out of the House at midnight.....What a long way Jai has covered!

If Jai had given a name to his realtionship with Bani, or said to her that he loves her, that would have been lowering the dignity of their relationship, making it a shade lesser than what it really is, but by telling her that they are not bond by love, but by their souls, he has literally put her in a pedestal.....Bani had already crossed all the marks in her love for Jai, now he has tranpired the realms of Love and made it into worship!!!

An amazing episode and an even better analysis!!! Very well written Sangs!!! Keep them coming...I am listening to the song you have mentioned right now! 😃

Loads of Love,

Loved your analysis Sangita. Both the scenes with RK were brilliantly done. It has left all of us on an emotional high for the weekend. I watched them 3 times already on the video fast forwarding all the other scenes.

My wish (I am sure many others will be wishing the same too) is that Bani realizes that if the divorce doesn't go through JW will lose his wealth and if it does go through he will be losing much more. I want to see her turn around and go back into that room and tell him everything and let him decide and chose what he would want to lose. I know it is wishful thinking and something like that to happen now........it's too soon.

MT, Parineeta is also a very special movie for me and I love it a lot - u r right, I do find shades of Shekhar in Jai and of Lolita in Bani. And its a beautiful feeling. Actually, I loved Saif and Vidya in this movie. 😛
And i loved chitra in this song, she's wonderful.
As for choosing the songs, it just comes automatically, I really don't go searching 😉 but I have a good collection, I thin, so no savings. 😭

In yesterday's episode, I was amzed at Jai's transformation from the JW we have known to the person he is now.

yes, I agree that they have reached a stage in their relationship, that giving a name would undermine its dignity and sanctity. I am sure nothing will waver them form their path anymore, irrespective of where they end up finally. I would of course want them to end up in each other's arms, being the despo I am, but i am game to anything.

Needless to say, I draw my inspiration from you so you are my master blaster. 😃

good analysis sangita..
guys the last scene was mind blowing ....only one thing i found out of the place was theie anthem "jiya dhadak dhadak jaaye" . first of all....it was pathetically sung. infact every tim e this song is played it further adds to the intensity but this was a bad timming... it was not in sync with the scene especially where even bani's silence spoke volumes.....bani's one look to jai and dragging herself out of the room where she was just carrying the weight of her body..body without the mind, heart and soul which is left behind .. was enough to get reflect the condition...
my opinion... 😃

yes, Pinky, its wishful thinking. they have travelled a long path in their relation, but they still have to cover more. Only then would that perspective come into play as you have mentioned.
I cried yestedray and i still dont believe it. But i think its worth it. I am not going to doubt either of them form now onwards, But as for Ekta, I will keep mum for time being. 😕

👏 👏 👏

And a superb analysis to a superb episode.....Every one her e is ga ga over how well RK acted and how he was oustanding...Gals please spare a thought for the mute albeit highly emotive Prachi....The way Bani's eyes fill up gradually with each and every sentence spoken, her belief that perhaps her husband understands what she is going through....all amazingly brought to the fore......What the heck .... A rare visual scene that made me cry...For all the shattered dreams that lay between Jai and Bani, for Jai Walia's anguish and most of all for Bani's helplessness....
