Disclaimer - All those who hyperventilate at the mention of Mallika's name are requested to please stay away from this post...thank you!

I know Mallika is the most hated and reviled person on this forum but I still can't help making this post.

I was just reading one of the volumes from Ashok Banker's Krishna Coriolis series...one of the paras seemed to leap out of the page...it reminded me so much of Ashutosh and Mallika...the para below describes Krishna's thought process as he contemplates Radha's love for him...

'He had sensed the changes brimming within Radha, had understoond what they meant and what they implied; he knew what they would lead to over time, and it made him sad at times, for what she desired could never come to pass, what she felt could never be reciprocated. Yet she had every right to feel, to desire, to be what she chose to be, and he would not deny her that experience, even if it led to sadness'

Many of us have been so judgmental of Ashutosh for not moving away or moving on from Mallika as soon as he realized that she was in love with him...I wonder if breaking away from a loved on is so easy...yes, Ashutosh did love Mallika...so what if it was platonic and not romantic...it was still love...he made his stance clear to her repeatedly...and yet he hoped that time might cure her of her illusions...he did not have the heart to completely reject her presence in his life...!

None of the above justifies Mallika's subsequent inhuman acts...that is not the purpose of this post...but I can't help feeling charitable and compassionate towards this woman who was betrayed by her own heart and reduced to acts that did not befit her education, status or personality...and yet, we are all human...in the grip of emotion, we are all capable of doing things that would absolutely disgust us in our saner moments...!

i am also in favour of love.everybody had a right to love.but love is not a thing, and not in condition that when you love somebody, that he must be in love with you.and i am in favour that education gives us the sense to understand what is right and what is wrong, and in sanskrit one sentense "Vidhya Vinayen Shobhate" and when we understand whom we love he is not in love with us and love somebody,so we must sacrifice our love for his happiness, that"s in my pov is love.krishna and radha's love is eternal, and meera is also in love with krishna, and she got merried too.but she choose her way with writing and singing krishna bhajan.so still we remembered they and their love.sorry if this is not your answer.

Alka..I did not ask any question...so no response is wrong...and you are talking of what is right and what is ideal...my point is not all of us are ideal and not all of us are perfect and not at all times...so what happens when we make mistakes...even criminal mistakes...we have to suffer punishment for sure...but what is the punishment,..?

I was not comparing Ashutosh-Mallika to Krishna-Radha if that is what you understood...I was only trying to point out Krishna's thoughts in that para where he feels that he cannot deny Radha what she wants to feel...even if he cannot reciprocate it...that is all...and while Mallika had no right to commit the crimes that she did, she still had a right to feel what she did... and AShutosh could not take away that right from her...nothing more and nothing less!
