Arnav ran up the stairs and banged onto Khushi who was in the process of coming down...
A: KHUSHI!! He was yelling at the top of his voice.
K: "Ahh..." Khushi couldn't keep her balance and sat down on one of the step.
A: "oh! I'm so sorry..."
He helped her to stand up.
K: what happened? Why were you screaming?
A: Khushi, CPS lady is outside.
K: haan...so?
A: "Khushi, Ashi is at buaji's house!"he said with a tone of panic in his voice.
K: "oh! Shit! Now what?" with that they shot hopeless looks at each other.
#8-Phew!!
A: Now what Khushi?
K: I don't know...
A: Think, think
K: Let's do one thing...
A: What?
K: let's not open the door, let her stand outside...how long will she wait?
A: no, no way... what if she reports it... we'll lose Ashi's custody...
K: can you think of something better than this?
A: umm...no...but we can't do this...we have to open the door...
K: but we don't have Ashi... and the 1st clause of the guardianship was that she shouldn't leave Raizada Mansion.

Arnav took a deep breath and walked up to the door... he cleared his throat and opened the door
Lavanya glared at him, her eyes asking for an explanation.
A: umm... please come in...
La: May I know the reason for such behaviour Mr. Raizada? She asked without stepping in...
A: umm... well something personal came up... you know a crisis kind of a thing...
La: "I hope the crisis is not related to Ashna Raizada..." she said as she stepped in to the house...
A: No ways... come let's sit in the study... he faked a smile.
La: i hope Ashna is awake... she said as she sat down on the sofa...
A: ah yeah... she's gone for a walk...
La: Walk? She said eyeing him suspiciously...
A: walk? Did i say walk? He stammered...
La: uh-yeah...
A: No...No... Khushi has taken her for a pram ride...
La: okay...
A: what would you like? Coffee? cold drink? Chocolate drink? Or may be cerelac?...and soon after that we made a 'did I say cerelac just know' sort of an expression.
La: uh-what?
A: sorry... newy...so coffee?
La: umm... no thanks... it's getting late...would you please ask Miss Gupta to come back sooner?
A: yeah...just a minute... he took out his phone and dialled Khushi's number...
...Phone...
K: uh..yeah?
A: where are you?
K: sitting on the steps of Gupta House...
A: what? Why?
K: Well Buaji's not at home... how long can you keep Kashyap girl busy?
A: where is Bu... Ashi's pram?
K: Ashi's pram? What are you talking about?
A: Is there any way you can find it?
K: what are you saying? What pram?
A: try to ring up the alarm...
K: what?... oh okay i get it... yeah i gave her a call but she isn't picking it up...
A: any place where it vanishes regularly...?
K: yeah, normally she goes to the satsang but i went there too...they weren't there...

K: i can't think of anywhere else...

K: okay...i'll ask around and see if i can find her...or else we'll have to tell Kashyap the truth.
A: yeah... he sighed and placed his phone on the table...
La: so...I guess she and the pram will be returning in 15 minutes?
A: yeah, hopefully...
Lavanya gestured him to sit down.
He sat down opposite to Lavanya...
La: So did you find Madhumati ji?
Arnav's head snapped up.
A: what?
La: yeah, did you find her?
A: umm...uh..uh...I...I..
La: now, please I don't want an "I don't know what you are talking about thing..."
A: wh-wh-why are you asking this?
La: because, you won't find her or Ashna at Gupta house...!
A: I-I-I...
La: "call up Miss Gupta and ask her to come back now..." there was rigidity in her voice.
Arnav instantly called up Khushi and asked her to return without Ashi. Khushi asked him a lot of questions but he didn't answer any one of them and hung up.
Khushi rushed through the streets and reached Raizada Mansion as soon as possible.
K: Arnav! She called out as she barged into the house...
Arnav and Lavanya came down from the study...
La: have a seat Mr. Raizada and Miss Gupta.
She ordered as they went in to the sitting area.
Khushi tried asking Arnav about what was happening but all he did was glare at the floor.
La: so, Arnav and Khushi...
She began as she stood infront of the duo, her hands crossed in front of her chest.
Both of them looked up...
La: this was a highly responsible act...don't you think so?
K: Miss Khashyap...
La: you must have a proper explanation, now that you wanna speak about it...
Khushi looked down...
La: so...tell me what should I write on in my report? Ashna Raizada was at the Gupta House on the day of our first inspection?
Khushi looked at Arnav who was still glaring at the floor.
La: or maybe I should add something like, Mr. Raizada and Miss Gupta FORGOT her at Gupta house?
A: we did not forget her...
La: what else shall I consider this as? Why was she at Gupta house even when the two of you were at Raizada Mansion? You returned around 9 pm right? Why dint you bring her home?
K: we had returned to have our dinner and then leave for work again...
La: Miss Gupta, you think I am a fool?
K: excuse me?
La: I know that you don't work at a call centre...why the hell will you need to go back to your office at night...?
K: do you think you know the time schedule of every particular job on this earth?
La: excuse me?
A: well, for your information madam Kashyap...during the Show Season even bosses need to work at nights...
La: uh-umm-umm...
A: speechless? He said raising an eyebrow...
La: whatever it might be...you...
K: we didn't do anything wrong... check out page 3 of your so called set of rules...we are allowed to keep Ashi at Buaji's house if both of us will be working at night.
Lavanya looked over and read through page 3...
A: and I believe you got Buaji's address from that very page...
He stood up and Khushi followed suit.
La: umm...yeah...
K: so shall we do it some other day...when all the three of us are here?
La: yeah okay...
A: please check with us before making up a conclusion...
La: hmm...
She bent down and picked up her file from the table and turned to leave when,
A: umm... Miss Kashyap may I know how you got to know that Ashi was not at Raizada Mansion...
La: well I had come over at around 8:30 to find that there wasn't anyone here so I went over to the other given address to find your Buaji leaving with Ashna...
A: "right...!" with that he eyed the door
La: yeah I should leave...
After Lavanya had left...
K: phew that was close...
Arnav didn't utter a word...he turned and hugged Khushi...
A: thank you very very very much Khushi...
K: what happened to you Arnav? She asked as she hugged him back.
A: I thought we would have lost Ashi today...
K: that'd never happen...come on we have two bowls of cold maggi and a match waiting for us...
She broke the hug and pulled him along with her.

K: Arnav!! Eat your food...!
A: 5 minutes Khushi!!
K: you've been saying this for the past one hour...
She came out of the kitchen with a plate in her hand...
Arnav was pacing around the dining table with a file in his hand and his Bluetooth on his ear.
A: yeah Aman, so the bridal section...
Khushi turned him by his shoulder and stuffed in a piece of parantha in his mouth.
A: mmhh...mm Khu..
K: eat!
Arnav started pacing around again and "yeah Aman so...the bridal section should appear in the second position..."
After sometime, Khushi stopped him again and fed him another piece of parantha...
Sometime later Arnav himself came to Khushi and opened up his mouth gesturing her to put in a piece of parantha...
Khushi couldn't help but smile at him and fed him.
There was a little kid suppressed inside Arnav Singh Raizada and it surely wasn't shy of Khushi.

A: "Khushi, there's something wrong with Ashi!" He yelled from his room
K: "I'm coming, wait" as she rushed up the stairs...
Khushi entered Arnav's room to find him searching for something.
K: what happened?
A: where's the thermometer Khushi?
K: 3rd drawer, why do you need it?
A: Ashi...! He said as he took the thermometer and placed it under Ashi's arm...
Khushi sat down next to a very dull Ashi... She looked tired and sleepy... Khushi looked at Arnav...
A: 102 degrees...Khushi!
K: what?
A: Its 12 am we won't even get a doctor now...
K: what to do now?
A:I don't know...
K: "if jiji would have been here...she would have known what to do..." she muttered looking at Ashi...
A: Khushi!
K: jiji should have been here na...
A: "Khushi...!" He walked over and shook her up... "Khushi... we'll take her to the hospital...nothing's wrong with Ashi...it's normal for her to get fever after vaccination"
K: "you know, it's jiji's birthday today..."
A: "I know... I remember..."
K: "and this is my gift? Ashi has fever... I couldn't take care of her daughter...they loved her the most and I couldn't take care of her...i am a very bad sister...a very bad parent, a very very very bad person... my jiji died because of me... I shouldn't have sent them...
The next moment Arnav planted a slap on her face...
Khushi looked up in shock as a tear rolled down her cheek...She hugged Arnav and started crying...
A: I'm sorry Khushi...but you were losing it...
He said as he hugged her back...
K: Thank you...!
