Role reversal!

Not many know that Rajshri Thakur (Saloni in Saat Phere) was the first choice in the casting of Mamta for the lead role. But the makers realised that she was too intense for the role and hence they decided to cast Neha Mehta instead.
At the same time, Anchal Dwewedi, who plays Kaveri in Saat Phere was offered the role of Tanisha ( the negative character in Mamta). Not to forget both Rajshree Thakur and Neha Mehta are doing a good job in their respective shows on Zee.

Interesting. Incidentally, I thought Neha Mehta played Mamta's role in a rather intense manner as well. Sometimes her acting/character's mannerisms have come across a bit unnatural, or overly powerful in my opinion.

It's also interesting to note that both Rajshri and Anchal play similar roles - positive female lead and negative female support respectively - in Saath Phere as well.

this is definitely interesting news.

kaveri would have definitely played better as tanisha than the actual actress playing tanisha now.

i'm glad tha rajeshree didn't play mamta because it would have been weird seeing her play opposite to ahskay who was originally saloni's brother first.
