I do not open topics in IF, not a regular visitor of the forum either. But do follow the show regularly and watch episodes(mostly) even when I dont like a certain track. Just thought I will give my 2 cents why this track did not work.

Biggest isue for me with this show is inconsistency. A show works when its characters are consistent and it flops when you play with the characteristics of your characters from track to track, butcher one character to hilight another is always a disaster. This track severely down played Virats character and virmans relationship just to hilight Jeevika and Jeeman. After watching a very passionate Virat over Manvi and her health, it was very hard to see him take it all so lightly.
Cancer was severely downplayed. Cancer track was "the track" that everybody was waiting to watch but cancer track was completely put into back seat and abortion track took over cancer track. I could not relate or understand how Virat, bg, chowdharies and Vadderas were more concerned about a foetus than dying Manvi.
Cancer track should have been around both families emotions towards a dying manvi not towards abortion. I simply could not connect with anyone in this track.
There were some nice scenes here and there and even one or 2 good episodes. Performance wise KT and KD did quite well, but I blame the wriiters big time for floppping the cancer track, the track which had so much potential to bring this show to #1 if it was really focused on the dying person and the emotions of the people who love her. Abortion should have been a side focus not the main focus, this tyag the way they painted it as bigger than cancer was a big flop idea in my opinion. If the choice is between a few week old foetus and the life of a 22 year old Which family wouldnt pick the life of the 22 year old, yes there is tyag involved but is that tyag bigger than cancer and death? dont think so.

rachel u said it all..i totally agree wid u...
cancer track was d show's main track n during cancer phase our show got more trps..
it was well executed..from start till bald track den d things started getin out of hand ..
abortion tracj dey hypped it too much d need at dis stage was to promote more of cancer track as it is cumin to climax
virman were one of dmain aspects of it..actually all 3 jodis u can say but at d end dey butchered virman to upkeep jeeman n virika..
i mean tyaag was defintely one of most importnt track but not more dan cancer finale na?
n d emmotions n all we couldnt connect wid.virat d guy who loves her immensely is shown so carefree like his fiance is on deathbed n he is all calm n relaxed..plus in sumcases he was just used as male nurse y?just to favour other things??cumin to family emmotions well wat to say?reaady to let go 21 yr old .?n saving 2 moth unborn (emmotionless people i say)
if cvs had balanced it well dis ending stage of cancer m sure our show wud have been atleast in top 3..

I agree - i always thought that writers do come with brilliant ideas and they have backing of brilliant actors but the story and writing they follow have no logic and they do not follow anything through! During blood donating fiasco - why is it they nobody still know M has donated blood kept aside for her, her letter which was meant for J, Virat looking after her during the wedding list is endless.

Execution of each and every track has been painful to watch. But i love all the actors and the relationships they have portrayed.

I agree. They should have projected the feelings of Virat, bg, badi bg, chacha etc around Manvi's condition better. TRP's has always rised when cancer was in focus. Manvi in death bed should have been the hilight even before the abortion came up. We should have seen a lot more on how Jeevika, virat, choudharies and Vadderas were dealing with Manvi in death bed. That would have brought the show way to the top. Jeevika"s tyag should not have taken the attention from cancer. After cancer was completely utilized and Manvi was in death bed (not walking around with a drip fighting in court), then Jeevika's abortion should have come as a side track with cancer being the main track. Then things would have been different.

They did handle cancer quite well at the right occasions and it has always fetched us good trp's too...the cancer revelation to virat and viren, the hair loss...till then things were beautifuly portrayed. As you said this was the climax of the cancer track, do not understand why they decided to shift focus to abortion during the climax of cancer...I was a lot upset last week cos this was the track I was looking forward to watch...it was rather dumb and lame to see only viren and jeevika taking cancer and manvi's condition seriously...everybody else's reaction was so not right around cancer...and the court thing...in my opinion wrong time to show any court drama...manvi walking around with a drip fighting in court was way too funny for viewers to feel anything around cancer...unfortunately there goes "the track" of the show...another example of why CV's need to do their job and stop listening to fans lol

and not to mention they had the best concept you could get and the best story line you could get and the best cast you could get...when shows run on tracks based on a mere cooking contests and such for weeks and still manage to stay on top...a show with such beautiful story line and everything else going for it couldnt come anywhere near top...all comes down to writing and creativity lol

yeah that would have worked too...utilize everything around cancer track to the best before bringing abortion on or keep both in parallel but without taking the focus off cancer...I am still upset over the fact that we will never get to watch all those heart wrenching scenes we were hoping to get...from Virats breakdown to badi bg's heart wrenching kankan scene...wish one of the writers here in this forum had an opportunity to write for the show...have read some stories which truly touched me around Manvi's cancer but the show...lol
