Background dancers!

What is the purpose of background dancers?🤢 I showed some of my western friends 2 bollywood movies and when the songs came they started laughing and I got so embarrassed They laughed because they couldn't understand why there was background dancers behind the lead actors. This made me think about it long time and I remembered some western articles I had read about bollywood and they had also attacked indian movies because of the stupid background dancers.

well now days the Russian BG dancers are thoroughly used by Akshay and Ajay.. very useful they are to the Industry..😳

I so agree with you. For example, check this one out and tell me what you think of it.

Hint: Starting at 1:33, the guy in the denim jacket/yellow vest and the bearded guy to the left of Ayesha Jhulka. Please tell me it's OK to invite such people to your birthday party and have them dance for you!

Why do we have these background dancers? they are so ugly and to be honest they can't dance so good, their dancing makes me laugh and especially their weird costumes. So when will these background dancers not be in songs?

So ur western friends were laughing at the BG dancers but not at the fact that in BW movies the hero and heroine would burst into singing and dancing out of the blue..😆😆

I disagree, I actually feel the background dancers never get their due. Almost all of them are amazing dancers but still the focus is always on the heroine or hero while if you look at it.. the ones in the background are dancing so much better.

This girl in the Mashallah video, she dances to Katrina's right, OHMYGOD she danced so beautiful, she made Katrina look like mechanical poop (1:19 seconds in the video)
